Episode synopsis TL;DR:

We explore questions from the public on “Does God Plan?” and “Does God Lead?”. Also “Do we have an individual life-plan?”, and “Did God lead Moses out of Egypt?”. We do this through the lens of Ephesians 2 cross referenced with real spiritual insights. I explain the answer to each of these, which may be surprising. Far from a historical exploration, the topics we look at in this episode are directly relevant (and helpful) to the life you are living right now!

Episode transcript:

[00:00:00] This is Mark from The Way Back Group. And what we’re going to listen to now together is episode 68, which was recorded on the 17th of July, 2025. And this one, we, we’re kind of looking into the whole topic of does God have a plan? Does God have a plan for you? Do you have a life plan? Does God lead you? And then once we understand that better, we’re going to explore or kind of apply that to the historical story of Moses who was famously led out of Egypt and across the Red Sea. Now, because we had some technical difficulties right at the start, I lost a bit of time and also was a bit distracted. And so I’ve made the decision that at the very end of this podcast, after the closing credits, I’m going to kind of share my thoughts a bit more and give you maybe a bit more of a summary of the key take home messages. But for now, I invite you to enjoy episode 68 with me and I’ll see you at the end.

[00:01:15] Welcome to episode 68 of discussing spirituality with myself, Mark Zaretti, from The Way Back.

[00:01:25] We will press on because look, this isn’t about fancy camera setups or anything like that. The whole point of this setup is just to present a show that you can hear me, see me, and importantly see the slides. Because it’s not entertainment, it’s spiritual guidance, spiritual learning, spiritual sharing. And I’m really glad that you can join me for that. And, and so it’s nice if everything works, but so long as we can talk with this camera, use this microphone, then the real focus, the real purpose of tonight’s show and every show indeed is to learn, to grow, to share.

[00:02:04] So the title for tonight’s show is if God’s Not Leading My Life, who is? Do I have a life plan? And this is all based on a question that someone sent me a little while back actually. Now if, if you’ve been watching. Oh, there we go wrong, the main camera still down. If you’ve been watching, then you know that we did a five part series and that meant that I wasn’t able to answer all the questions that were coming in.

[00:02:30] So now I’m kind of playing catch up. So this question was asked a fair while back and I’m grateful to the person who asked it. And what we’re going to look at today is if I can share my screen now that everything’s changed. So coming up, question about God and life plans. And then I’m going to be looking at information to do with a Sunday show. Or a potential Sunday show.

[00:02:56] So let’s dive straight in. Now, this person wishes to remain anonymous and they ask.

[00:03:02] I’ve had some lovely experiences recently discussing God and listening to people talk about God.

[00:03:09] Now I do know who this is and obviously with the live show, whenever we are referring to God, what we’re referring to is much more of a spiritual thing. So just think in terms of absolutes, one thing everywhere, that which is before time, that which is untouched, eternal, the cause of everything, the cause of all that is good, all powerful, etc. We’re not really talking about a personified, what some people might refer to as deity or some kind of religious character. We’re talking about a spiritual state. So in the recent kind of Burden and Proof series, we referred to it in a kind of empirical way as that which is before the creation of everything. So that which was before the Big bang.

[00:04:01] So just keep that in mind that when we say God it may overlap heavily with what religion alludes to in terms of God, but we’re talking a spiritual absolute state rather than an individual.

[00:04:14] Okay, so I carry on reading from anon. So the questions that come from these experiences was does God plan and does God lead both on an individual and on a all of humanity scale?

[00:04:32] Great questions, good observations.

[00:04:35] So they carry on. My understanding is based on we have free will and all moments are an opportunity to move closer or further away from God. But if we ask sincerely, God can take action if it’s in line with goodness, is there then life plan as an individual?

[00:04:56] Then they go on to say the Bible has many examples of wider plan.

[00:05:01] Excuse me, many examples of a wider plan and God quote unquote air quotes, leading people who are willing to serve deliver God’s message to more to move power.

[00:05:13] Pardon me, to move people in the direction of goodness, sometimes across physical distance.

[00:05:19] There was prophecy that Jesus fulfilled.

[00:05:23] So he’s touching on quite a few things there in the Bible. But. But we’ll get on to all of that. So please can you provide some clarity? God bless this show, God bless you as you read this and God bless everyone listening. So that’s really nice and thank you again to the person that sent this question in. And I respect your desire to be anonymous.

[00:05:44] And look, sometimes people leave their name, sometimes they wish to remain anonymous. I actually think it’s great if people are anonymous. It gets out of the way identity so that we can ask a genuine sincere question that probably a lot of people are thinking about or aspects of it that they are thinking about.

[00:06:03] So what I’ve done here is I’ve summed down their question into what I consider to be the questions that they were really asking.

[00:06:12] So does God plan?

[00:06:14] Does God lead?

[00:06:16] Do we have an individual life plan?

[00:06:19] And did God lead Moses out of Egypt? And I know they didn’t mention Moses, but in their reference to the Bible they were talking about God leading people sometimes across great distances.

[00:06:35] And so the archetypal story of that is God leading Moses out of Egypt, across the Red Sea, the parting of the sea and all of that into the promised land after 40 years in desert. The.

[00:06:46] So these are the questions I think if we tackle, we can kind of make some headway into understanding the question or the questions. So let’s keep these in mind. I’ll just put them down there on the screen.

[00:07:01] And when what I did is let me just actually show you pictures worth a thousand words. So let’s see if I can.

[00:07:12] There we go. If you just search in, choose any search engine for quotes from the Bible about God’s plan, which is what I did. This is one of the things that came up. I don’t, you know, I just chose whichever one came first and God’s plan in the Bible. And I read a few of these quotes and I’ll read one or two now.

[00:07:37] For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith, which is from 1 John John 5:4.

[00:07:45] And you know, if at this point you’re going, oh, hang on a sec, he’s reading from the Bible. I thought we weren’t doing religion. We’re not. I just think it’s an interesting reference that’s thousands of years old to see what is out there in terms of literature.

[00:08:01] And also it’s a, it’s a point of reference for a lot of people on the subject of God. So it’s a good starting point.

[00:08:08] And the one that I’ve picked on is Jeremiah 29:11. And you can go to. There’s many different websites. I quite like Bible Gateway because they let you choose which version of the Bible I’m just showing on the screen. And so you’ve got all these different types. And the one I’ve gone for is the 1599 Geneva Bible. And we’re looking at Jeremiah 29. It’s actually 29:10 is the quote.

[00:08:32] Don’t worry, it’s quite small on the screen. But I will show you on the slides.

[00:08:38] So this is Ephesians 2 from the 1599 Geneva Bible.

[00:08:45] And I’m going to read this out and then we’re going to kind of pick it apart a bit from a spiritual perspective. And I could have chosen, I guess before we dive in, I think it’s worth saying, look, I could have chosen any of the quotes. The quote is useful, but it’s the exercise, the going through things to understand, do we have a life plan.

[00:09:08] And almost using something like one of these Bible quotes as a canvas onto which we can paint our spiritual understanding. And remember, I’m talking as someone that’s done over 43 years of meditation.

[00:09:24] I’ve been teaching since 1998 and I’ve helped many people to attain various states of awareness and spend many thousands of hours within various states of awareness. So what I’m talking about here is bringing down higher understanding, higher awareness into an everyday way. And so the Bible verse almost acts like a common anchor, something we can all look up easily.

[00:09:53] A common anchor to take these very high, non physical, non written experiences, that is what you experience within the stillness of spiritual endeavor and to explain them in a way that a lot of people can relate to.

[00:10:12] So let’s start reading this then and see where it leads us. So Ephesians 2 and you have he quickened that were dead in trespasses and sins. And what I’m going to do is I’m going to read each line and just kind of explain it a little bit.

[00:10:28] He in this is God. So and you have he quickened. And to quicken means to bring to life.

[00:10:36] If you imagine if something is slow, it’s dead. If it’s quickened, it’s filled with energy, it’s brought to life, it’s animated. And you hath he quickened that were dead in trespasses and sins. And what this is saying is that those that go against God’s way, I.e. sin, trespass, do wrong, are dead.

[00:10:57] And it is God that has brought them to life. And we’ll find out how and why in the next few lines.

[00:11:05] So it’s bringing to our attention that we being addressed here by. And this is a letter from one of the apostles, I believe, to the Ephesians. And it will all make sense as we go.

[00:11:17] He’s saying, and you have and let me put it into normal everyday language and God’s brought you to life even though you were dead because of your sins and your trespassing against God.

[00:11:30] Wherein in times past ye walked according to the course of this world. And after the prince that ruleth in the air, even the spirit that now worketh in the children of Disobedience Very interesting. So if you know any of your Bible kind of references like Revelations, then who is the prince that ruleth in the air? It’s another name for Satan, the. Or the prince of darkness, the one that rules the world.

[00:12:01] And we talked about this because in Bible mythology, remember Jesus was tempted by the devil. He, Jesus went off into the desert for 40 days and the devil said, you know, look, I just bend your knee to me and I’ll give you everything that you can see for miles around. This is my kingdom to give.

[00:12:21] Because the prince that ruleth in the air, the air covers all of the land. So the one that rules the air also rules the land. It’s a reference to the prince of keeping things simple, the dark forces that rule or run the world. So what does this line mean?

[00:12:39] So in the previous line it said, look, you were, you were naughty, you trespassed and you sinned. And that meant you were dead to God. But God has brought you life in times past. So in the past you walked in the way of the world, in other words, as a person in the world with a physical body.

[00:12:59] And you followed the example of the prince that ruleth the air. So you followed the devil’s example, you followed Satan’s example. And this is referencing lust and greed and sexual desire and all of those things that are taking you more into the world, in other words, desiring money, desiring wealth, desiring fame, desiring sex, desiring pleasure, etc.

[00:13:24] And it’s that spirit of, of wrongdoing, so that even the spirit, as it says there, that now worketh in the children of disobedience. So it’s saying those that are disobedient and continue to be disobedient. So the very bad people have that spirit of walking in the world, wanting the riches of the world.

[00:13:45] So it basically said, you used to be like that as well.

[00:13:50] And it’s referencing these disobedient people among whom we also had our conversation in time past in the lusts of our flesh, in fulfilling the will of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature the children of wrath as well as others. So it’s saying, look, we were just as bad as everyone else at one point, and we sought pleasures of the mind and pleasures of the flesh.

[00:14:16] And therefore we were what it says by nature of the children of wrath, as in the wrath of God is upon them.

[00:14:24] But God which is rich in mercy through his great love, wherewith he loved us.

[00:14:33] So in other words, look, you were at the wrath of God and you were a sinner and you were in the wrong and you were walking in the ways of Satan, just like everyone else. But God, who in mercy, because of his love for you. So we’re talking here as spiritual human beings, okay?

[00:14:52] So because of God’s love for you, even when we were dead by sins, hath quickened us together in Christ, by whose grace ye are saved. So this is about the story that when Jesus came and Jesus is God. So think about it like this. That one greatness that is beyond all measure, beyond all time, beyond all space, has no edges, allowed itself to manifest form in the form of Jesus, to walk amongst us, to show us the spiritual way. So I’m not talking religion here. I’m talking about a spiritual teacher setting an example who was God incarnate and is God incarnate. So it’s saying even when we were dead by sins, in other words, because of our sins, we were dead to God.

[00:15:42] God has quickened us because of his love together in Christ. So in other words, his love took on form and loved us literally through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. And it’s by the grace of Jesus as God that we are saved. So what it’s saying is not a guilt trip, but spiritually speaking, what Jesus did was set up the way so that you can become spiritual, which is to want and love God in your life. Okay, by saying, because up to that point, up till the point of the kind of Jesus’s teachings, God was basically a character who dished out wrath and, well, we’ll maybe talk about this more and send people into the desert for 40 years and stuff like that. Jesus came to say, no, God is love, and the way is devotion and love, so.

[00:16:40] And God. So carry on. And God hath raised us up together and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus. So it’s basically saying that whatever heaven is. So think about the previous episodes where we talked about death is not the end.

[00:16:56] When we’re not in this physical body, where are we? Let’s consider that that might be heaven. And therefore those who are good seeking God, spiritual people will sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus. In other words, alongside or under the governance of Jesus. So keeping things really simple, it’s basically saying that your potential is to be in a very good place when you’re no longer in your physical body, that he might show in the ages to come the exceeding riches of his grace through his kindness towards us in Christ Jesus. Now, again, I’m trying very carefully to be focused on the spiritual side and not get caught up in any of the religious narrative. But it’s not that the religious narrative necessarily is flawed, it’s just that religion is a belief. And what I’m trying to do here is talk from experience.

[00:17:57] So there’s some interesting stuff going on there. It’s talking about the potential of the future.

[00:18:03] So in the ages to come, the exceeding riches. So we’re not talking about gold and silver and bitcoin and Ferraris here.

[00:18:14] We’re talking about something far greater, the richness of the heart. So states to do with love and joy and energy that is pure, which is different from what we’re used to or experiencing down here is a simple way of doing it. And again, it’s referencing through his kindness towards us in Jesus Christ. So God’s kindness came through Jesus Christ. And that’s important.

[00:18:45] And God is Jesus.

[00:18:48] And it’s important because later we’ll be talking more about the nature of things. So understanding why it had to come through is quite useful.

[00:18:59] So for by the grace, ye are saved through faith and that not of yourself, it is the gift of God. So in other words, it’s kind of suggesting or saying, look, this good stuff that we’re talking about here, that’s your future, right? Or potential, is not because of what you yourself have done. It’s purely grace and a gift.

[00:19:24] Ah, so this, this kind of lends itself to when we talk about things like gratitude and humility, because it’s not look how great you are that you have achieved this, it’s that look that through your faith, in other words, faith in Jesus, faith in God, spiritually speaking. So a love of that which is one thing everywhere, a love of that which is absolute, a love of that which is pure goodness, a love of that which is a source of love, it’s through faith in that that you are saved and whatever saved means. And we can talk about that, but it’s, it’s a gift. It’s not because of how great you are, it’s because of how great God is.

[00:20:10] And it goes on to say, not of works, lest any man should boast himself.

[00:20:15] So what that saying is, it is nothing that you do, no matter how good it might be, there is nothing that you do that entitles you to the gift of what’s described above as good. It’s simply that. And therefore if you boast yourself, that’s the opposite of humility, that’s ego. So it’s basically saying it’s not of your works and it’s not of your ego, it’s of your faith. And that’s really, I think, quite important.

[00:20:47] For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath ordained that we should walk in them. In other words, that we should walk in the works, the good works.

[00:21:05] So, and this line 10 or verse 10 is what is often referenced as an example of the plan that God has for you.

[00:21:17] So that that’s kind of. I like looking at the Geneva version, because it’s not the kind of language you normally use in everyday life. And if I just it back very, very quickly and you have he quickened that were dead in trespasses and sins, wherein in times past ye walked according to the course of this world. And after the prince that ruleth in the air, even the Spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience, among whom we also had our conversation in times past, in the lusts of our flesh, in fulfilling the will of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature the children of wrath as well as others.

[00:22:00] But God, which is rich in mercy through his great love, wherewith he loved us even when we were dead by sins, hath quickened us together in Christ, by whose grace ye are saved, and hath raised us up together and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that he might show in the ages to come the exceeding riches of his grace through his kindness towards us in Christ Jesus.

[00:22:28] For by grace are ye saved through faith, and that none of yourself.

[00:22:35] It is the gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast himself. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath ordained that we should walk in them. And that is that that God hath ordained that we should walk in them. That suggests that there is a plan.

[00:22:56] Now, I’m just going to very quickly read out the same thing, but this is the King James version, so it’s over here.

[00:23:09] And this tends to be much, much better worded for modern people, but quite often some of the meaning is lost. They simplify it in some ways. But let me just give you a comparison.

[00:23:24] And remember, we’re not doing this from a religious perspective. It’s just a nice explanation of plans and life plans and stuff.

[00:23:34] And you had he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins, wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the Spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience, among whom also we all had our conversations in time past in the lusts of the flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

[00:23:59] But God, who is rich in mercy for his great love, wherewith he loved us even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together in Christ by grace ye are saved. And it put that bit in brackets and hath raised us up together and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. So it’s interesting, they haven’t changed the wording very much at all in this one.

[00:24:22] That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

[00:24:31] For by grace are ye saved through faith, and that not of yourself. It is the gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast.

[00:24:43] For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. So only a few words difference that time, but it’s always quite interesting to check.

[00:24:56] And certainly as you get towards the more modern Bibles, they really do dumb things down. And the reason why I like to look at the old, like the 1599 Bible in that the King James version is when the words aren’t as familiar, we have to stop and chew over the meaning a little bit. And I actually think, look, in this world where AI and people use it is now proving to dumb people down. And there’s been a recent study done that shows that lots of YouTube short videos actually gives people some kind of brain damage. Because I think it’s just over satiating certain parts of the brain, the constant stream.

[00:25:36] Let’s take a moment to slow down and actually look at words of value and think differently. And so by chain reading stuff that we’re perhaps less familiar with, it can help us to do that.

[00:25:49] So where does this lead us then?

[00:25:53] Because just as God may have a plan, I have a plan for these slides.

[00:25:59] So does God plan? Does God lead? Do we have an individual life plan? Did God lead Moses out of Egypt? So certainly what we just read, the last line suggests that there may be some kind of directional plan.

[00:26:14] And what does this Bible example actually show us?

[00:26:19] So the first line, and ye and you have he quickened that were dead in trespasses and sins?

[00:26:27] Well, this shows us that God is a source, because who could give life but that which created it? So God is the source of life because God have quickened you, and wherein in times past ye walked according to the course of this world and after the prince that ruleth in the air, in other words, you walked in the bad ways that now worketh in the children of disobedience. In other words, you were in sin because you were doing bad things. So what does that show us? That shows us that God is good. And then the next line, among whom we also had our conversation in times past, etc. This shows us that God is immaterial. Why?

[00:27:17] What it’s saying is all of our lust and desires come from the flesh come from the mind, whereas God doesn’t have flesh, so doesn’t have that lust and desire.

[00:27:28] So God’s nature, or what God is, is immaterial. Whereas our sin, if you like, our wrongdoing, is because we are material and but God, which is rich in mercy through his great love, wherewith he loved us. So this shows us that God is loving and merciful. Okay, so so far it’s identified that God is the source, that God is good, that God is immaterial and God is loving, which makes sense.

[00:27:58] So even when we were dead by sins, in other words, it’s by whose grace ye are saved, God is graceful and hath raised us up together and made us sit together in the heavenly places. By the way, where are we going with this? Well, we want to see if God has a plan.

[00:28:14] And so to know where God is coming from might help to understand whether God has a plan for you.

[00:28:21] And what this is going on to is that God is timeless because it’s in the ages to come. He will show.

[00:28:29] Well, how can God show us something that is yet to happen and yet God was before time? It’s because God is timeless.

[00:28:36] So since God is timeless and out of time, let’s move me over here.

[00:28:43] Since God is timeless and beyond time, then time is nothing to God. Which is why it can make this statement that in the ages to come, and the word ages, the phrase ages to come means a very long time. Not, not tomorrow, not next year, not next decade.

[00:29:00] Okay, so what else can we learn? That God is giving. So by the grace ye are saved through faith that not and that not of yourself. It is the gift of God. So God is giving, in other words, God doesn’t take, God gives.

[00:29:18] And that goes hand in hand with the first one, which is God is the source. So keep all of this in mind.

[00:29:23] And ultimately it says, for we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works which God hath ordained. So I know the wording is all very sounds like we’re Kind of in a sermon. But what we’re trying to do is pick the bones out of the words to get to the meaning, to get to the significance. And so what this is saying is God is the creator. God’s workmanship, not God asked the angels to create spiritual beings, and the spiritual beings created a hierarchy. And hierarchy of spiritual beings created humans. No, we are his workmanship. In other words, God created humanity directly.

[00:30:07] Okay, so that’s kind of useful to know. So now we can say God is the source, God is goodness. God is immaterial. God is loving and merciful. God is graceful. God is timeless. God is giving, God is the creator. And I’ve still got the questions on the page there to keep them in mind. So does God plan?

[00:30:27] Does God lead?

[00:30:29] Do we have an individual life plan? Did God lead Moses out of Egypt? I know that last one seems a bit out of place, but it all makes sense.

[00:30:37] And in fairness, these are the questions that were asked.

[00:30:42] So let’s have a look.

[00:30:45] So, yeah, so that’s what the Bible shows us, is these qualities of God. And so now we can look at.

[00:30:59] All right, let’s consider the greater nature of God, because that’s alluding to it.

[00:31:05] If God is before time and God is immaterial, God has no edges.

[00:31:11] God doesn’t have a beginning. And so there is no end.

[00:31:15] If God has no end and God is the source of everything, if God is the source of everything, does God need anything?

[00:31:27] Think about it. If God is the source of everything and God is also the ultimate creator, then if God needed something, God could create it directly. Where do you think creation came from? Where do you think humanity came from?

[00:31:39] And if God is graceful, one of the definitions or ways of understanding grace is. Grace is the ability for God to change reality without interrupting it.

[00:31:57] So let me try and contrive an example of this, okay?

[00:32:03] If I filled a glass with oil and water and let it settle, then the oil and water would separate out.

[00:32:12] And then if I dropped a penny in the bottom of that glass, okay?

[00:32:17] And you said to me, can you take that penny out now without disturbing the oil that’s sitting on top of the water?

[00:32:24] No, the only way I get the penny out is to disturb the oil, mix the layers, you know, get my hand wet and covered in oil, or smash the glass, or maybe if it’s a metallic penny, then lift the glass up carefully, get a magnet.

[00:32:42] But that would still disturb things. It would change things. So I, by nature, as a person down here, cannot interact with another thing in any way. Other than material interactions, what graces is God’s ability, should God wish to interact or to act without disturbing the oil, the water or the glass. So if God so willed it, the penny would rise.

[00:33:15] That would be an act of grace.

[00:33:19] So the only thing that can be graceful really is God. We can be graceful in our attitude and our aspirations, but the only thing that is graceful is God, ergo Jesus. So the healing work that Jesus did is examples of grace intervening in the physical manifestation of disease to get rid of it. In like, you know, the man with a shriveled hand and his hand just came back to normal. That’s an act of grace.

[00:33:48] So when we consider the nature of God, if God is graceful, then God could just put things right.

[00:33:55] God could just change your mind on something.

[00:33:59] So if God had a plan and things are going wrong, then that would suggest God is incompetent or God is impotent.

[00:34:09] But God is all powerful.

[00:34:12] And you know, these words are omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, in other words, all knowing, all present, etc. So if God had a plan, then God would have to act, wouldn’t he?

[00:34:29] So to answer the questions of does God plan or does God lead? We need to understand what God is. So if you are perfectly complete, one thing everywhere still, because you don’t have an edge, so how can you move? And you’re already everywhere, so where is there to move into?

[00:34:50] And you’re all powerful, so you don’t need anything.

[00:34:55] So where is the need for a plan? Where is the need to act?

[00:35:01] And that’s one side of it. And then if we look at more to do with the nature of God, so when we think about, and this is where I can talk from this experience of enlightenment that as we camera’s still not working, as we sit in greater and greater stillness, we become more and more neutral. So God is neutral.

[00:35:23] Because what happens when you meditate spiritually, and I’m talking about the very advanced forms of meditation, is that you become closer to God in terms of the qualities of the state that you’re sitting in. And so if you’ve ever meditated on light and sound and spent 14, 15, 18 hours a day, 10 days, you know, 10 days in a row, chipping the light fantastic, becoming so still that you have no sense of time or where you are or anything, and you don’t have, you’ve gone beyond identity, so you’re not really, you’re not aware of your body or your mind or your identity, then you become super Neutral, super still super present.

[00:36:04] And you’re just busy being, you’re not busy doing.

[00:36:08] So whatever you observe from that stillness is just stuff. There’s no judgment. That’s when we talk about the things like. So the six virtues are these six qualities of character that people aspire to. One of them is non judgment.

[00:36:23] Another one is respect.

[00:36:26] So respect just whatever is in front of you. Gratitude, grateful for whatever’s in front of you.

[00:36:32] Humility.

[00:36:34] So if you’ve got no sense of self, there can’t be the opposite of humility, which is ego, etc. So the six virtues actually help us move in everyday life towards these qualities. But God is the other end. God is already there. Unconditional love.

[00:36:48] And so God doesn’t judge.

[00:36:52] And again, I’m saying all of this to frame it around that. Is God likely to have a plan and lead, lead us, lead humanity?

[00:37:02] So when we consider the nature of God, if you think about the most absolute of every all that is good, then it would be perfectly neutral, perfectly accepting, perfectly still, perfectly present. And within that there is no need for anything.

[00:37:17] Whatever is just is because it’s all within God. Nothing’s outside of God, greater than God or beyond God, or unknown to God.

[00:37:25] So we will answer the questions, but at this point I just want to kind of work our way through all of this.

[00:37:32] And because the third question is, what about do we have an individual life plan?

[00:37:39] Let’s just consider, I did want to talk quite a bit actually about life plans. So let’s just consider the dynamic between you down here.

[00:37:51] So what, what would be having this, this life? And therefore, is there a need for a plan and your higher self? Now your higher self includes your soul and your spirit. And we’ve discussed this at length in many of the episodes, but very briefly, your spirit is like the guiding light that knows God and wants to guide you towards God. And your soul is a record of all the goodness that you’ve ever done and experienced over every single lifetime. And therefore is also a repository of resources such as courage and resilience and strength and good judgment and things like this that you can draw upon, drawing upon all of those resources that you’ve built up over many, many lifetimes. And so as you grow in your soul, then you are growing through making good choices which bring you closer to God. And this is what the question, the person asked, the question was alluding to when they talked about their understanding of how it all works. And we can jump back to that if it helps.

[00:38:54] But they basically said, you know, Moving closer to God through making good choices.

[00:38:59] But they also said, and that’s what raised the question, but if we ask for help, can God act?

[00:39:05] And so the higher self has had many, many lifetimes and is generally growing spiritually in every lifetime.

[00:39:17] But the rate of it depends. So the rate of growth in this lifetime depends on you.

[00:39:24] How much do you want to be aligned with God? How much love and desire do you have for God in. In this life? Because it doesn’t matter what you’ve done up till now. What you’ve done up till now determines where your soul was at when you entered into this life. But what your soul will be like at the end of this life depends on what you do with it in this life. And that’s why in season one, I used to have this ticker along the bottom and it said, the goal of life is to be closer to God at the end than you were at the beginning.

[00:39:54] And that’s obviously referring spiritually.

[00:39:57] So when we consider what the higher self’s like, well, it’s much older than you. It’s had many, many lifetimes, hundreds of lifetimes, maybe more.

[00:40:07] And it’s the best of every lifetime that you’ve ever had. Whereas in. Whereas you down here have an ego. And there can be. You know, some people like to say, well, there’s a good and bad in everyone that’s down here, the little self. But when it comes to the higher self, there’s just good.

[00:40:25] I’m talking about good spiritual human beings here, okay? I’m not talking about people that are maybe satanic or anything like that. There might be something else going on there, something dark that’s within them. Nothing to do with the soul and the spirit.

[00:40:38] But generally talking about good old human beings, then your higher self is the best of all of your lifetimes, and it’s there guiding you.

[00:40:48] So when we consider the higher self and the lower self, which are one, you are altogether one.

[00:40:57] But there’s this dichotomy of existence where we feel to some extent separate.

[00:41:04] Then do we have an individual life plan?

[00:41:09] Well, then, if we did, and I’m going to kind of answer that later, then how. Whose plan is it? And is it coordinated with the higher self? Because I’ve used the analogy of this life is like one day at school before. So when this life comes to an end, it’s a bit like going home.

[00:41:31] From your point, from this body’s point of view, this body is like the school uniform. You take it off at the end of the day from your Higher self’s point of view, it’s just another day at school. But from this body’s point of view, it’s like it’s the end of everything when this life comes to an end. Unless we’re spiritual and we understand, and therefore we don’t live in fear.

[00:41:53] So the purpose of a life plan must surely be to aid the higher self, if we have one. Okay, that’s the big if.

[00:42:03] So I’m going to answer some of the questions now, and then we’ll get on to number four and I’ll go into more about do we have individual life plans? Because that’s a gray area.

[00:42:12] But from what we’ve learned about God, the qualities of God and everything, then does God plan? The truth is, no.

[00:42:21] God doesn’t plan.

[00:42:23] God intends.

[00:42:26] And if we were to reread that Bible verse, which we won’t, don’t worry, we’ve read it enough today. But if you were to reread it, you could say that there’s a bit where it says, look, it basically alludes to the good works that God has put there for us to do.

[00:42:45] So when God created humanity, he intended them for good works.

[00:42:50] But God doesn’t plan.

[00:42:53] I create humanity. And they will do this and this and this, and then they will do this, and then they will overcome this, and then this will happen. No, God simply created them with good intention.

[00:43:04] In other words, I intend them to be good, to be godly, and to grow spiritually.

[00:43:10] How that unfolds isn’t planned.

[00:43:19] It’s it. If, you know, if you imagine, like, it’s the nature of things. So I was talking to someone about dogs, because I have one. And a collie is a very different thing from a greyhound, very different nature.

[00:43:33] So if you took this analogy, does God plan what the greyhound is going to do today? No. Does God plan what Jesse the collie is going to do today? No.

[00:43:44] God simply created Jesse the collie with a collie attitude and a collie form, and the greyhound with the greyhound attitude and the greyhound form. And so the greyhound will probably run around for 15 minutes and then go and sleep on a sofa for five hours, whereas the collie will just have obsessive compulsive body ball disorder and want to play all the time.

[00:44:08] And neither one of them is wrong in their nature. They’re just demonstrating their nature. And how they will live out their lives is a consequence of the intention by which they were made, not the plan. So that’s the point is that God does not plan what you do God simply intended that you be, that you are good, that you have the capacity for good.

[00:44:30] So does God lead?

[00:44:33] No, God does not lead you or anyone.

[00:44:38] There are a few very, very rare exceptions.

[00:44:43] But it is your spirit that leads you.

[00:44:46] And your spirit is there, like a beacon within you saying like every single choice point, whether it’s big or small, your spirit is saying the right thing to do is this.

[00:45:01] And then with your soul’s help, based on the experiences your soul’s had up to this point over many lifetimes, your soul’s trying to give you the best advice to act on that guidance, you know, congruent with who you are. Because some of us are like colleagues and some of us are like greyhounds, but it’s the spirit that guides. So the kind of relationship is you down here, your spirit in the middle, and God at the top.

[00:45:29] And you are led by your spirit, which fundamentally means you’re led by your desire to move towards God. Now, could other things lead you?

[00:45:39] Absolutely. So I talked about this a while back and let me just bring up a slide actually, because this picture’s worth a thousand words.

[00:45:52] So if you go to the podcasts and you go down to episode, I think it’s 54, the one that says do not fall on, do not fall on your own sword, and you click on that, then there’s a screenshot in there, which is this one.

[00:46:11] Oh, sorry. Right, there we go. And very, I mean, definitely check out that episode, if you haven’t already, explains so much about life. But you’re this person in the middle. So let me grab, come over here and grab my pointer. So you. Oh, that’s my head.

[00:46:27] Let me grab the pointer. Right, you’re this person in the middle, and above them are all these bad beings that are non physical. Okay?

[00:46:37] And what we’re seeing here is that they, these bad beings can put thoughts and ideas into you and other people, like this bad person over here can psychically or telepathically try and influence you.

[00:46:50] And TV and other things try and influence you.

[00:46:53] And up here you’ve got your higher self or you’ve got good beings that are trying to influence you. In fact, in this picture, your higher self is drawn within you and that’s trying to guide you and lead you in a good way. Now, the take home message from that is not to get lost in detail, but simply the fact that it’s not just your spirit and your soul that are leading you, that actually you are surrounded by influences that aren’t good, that are trying to mislead you.

[00:47:27] And so when we ask the question of, you know, does God lead indirectly through your spirit, you are led back to God. But that’s not the only thing leading you. You are constantly in a situation where telepathy and other means are being used to suggest roots and subliminal messages and stuff to take you away from God. And the purpose of life or the challenge of life is to constantly make the right choice in that noise of deception and distraction.

[00:48:05] And it might not even be external things. It could be, as the reading from the Bible earlier said, your own lust for the flesh and your own desire for the worldly things.

[00:48:18] You may be leading yourself astray.

[00:48:21] And that comes more from the mind and the ego.

[00:48:24] So it is a battlefield, but that’s one way of looking at it. Or it’s simply just every choice is an opportunity to move closer to God. If you choose to be guided by your spirit rather than the many, many voices externally and the distracting ones internally that would say, no, do this, it’s much more fun.

[00:48:48] But it’s not God that leads.

[00:48:50] And so the question is, do we have individual life plan?

[00:48:54] I guess that’s probably the one that most people be interested in.

[00:48:58] And so let’s see what the answer to that is.

[00:49:03] Let me just click there. I did. We seem to.

[00:49:07] So the answer to do we have an individual life plan? Is yes and no.

[00:49:14] Now, this is stuff that I’ve uncovered through the kind of, let’s just call it, spiritual research that I’ve done, because most of the good people I met and have worked with, many of them had what seemed to be a life plan.

[00:49:30] And that life plan would necessitate challenges.

[00:49:35] That’s putting it nicely.

[00:49:38] It could say that it would necessitate a certain amount of stuff of conflict and suffering.

[00:49:44] And yet here these plans are that the soul and the spirit knew of, you know, before they came in.

[00:49:52] But when I looked into it, the life plans were like a bad habit.

[00:50:00] Choosing my words carefully here.

[00:50:02] They were a bad habit that, that humanity about. I think it started about 4,000 years ago, were encouraged to adopt, and then over a lot of repetition, it just became the norm.

[00:50:18] So, yes, we were encouraged to choose a life plan before coming into life, but that was not by God, and that was not by Jesus, and that was not by that which is truly good.

[00:50:35] And so do we have individual life plans? Some of us maybe. And if you’re watching this, absolve yourself of them, you’re not meant to. Because the truth is, no, humans are not meant to have A life plan.

[00:50:48] There will be opportunities that present in life.

[00:50:52] And you chose your parents and you chose the environment because of the synergy between your vibration and those environments and those parents. But the idea that you have to come in and you’re going to break your leg at a certain age and be a cripple, and that’s your life plan so that you learn humility, it’s nonsense.

[00:51:16] This is a contrivance that has been Faust upon humanity a long time ago.

[00:51:23] And it’s not the way it’s meant to be.

[00:51:27] It’s meant to be that the environment will always throw up challenges and opportunities. And that growth isn’t because of some preordained big event.

[00:51:41] It’s because of every choice you make moves you closer to God or away from God. And if you move in the wrong direction, there are consequences.

[00:51:49] So you will course correct or have the opportunity to do so, and you will learn harder and harder lessons, not because it was a life plan, but because if you move in the wrong direction, you get bigger lessons trying to move you back in the right direction.

[00:52:07] So we need to understand that just because things have been a certain way for a very long time, doesn’t mean that’s the way they’re meant to be.

[00:52:20] And, you know, I talked about spiritual hierarchy and other things in a previous episode, and in episode 54, I talk about various things on higher dimensions. It’s a soup.

[00:52:36] And it has been chaotic.

[00:52:40] The truth is much simpler, or the truth of how things are meant to be is much, much simpler.

[00:52:50] And God doesn’t require you to suffer.

[00:52:57] You could gracefully move through life just making good choices and growing spiritually.

[00:53:03] It’s the chaos because of things that are against God and therefore against you, because you are a good person.

[00:53:16] It’s their chaos that makes the situation chaotic.

[00:53:21] And that’s where the idea of life plans, which ultimately were a way of limiting your life, constraining, forcing you to believe that you had to go through certain things again and again to learn really tough lessons. But basically, it’s a way of constraining, controlling and making you suffer and therefore keeping you down and away from God.

[00:53:47] So that leads us on to the question, press the right button. That leads us on to the question of, did God lead Moses out of Egypt?

[00:53:59] Now, what I’m going to share with you is probably going to be contentious.

[00:54:07] I’ve spent a lot of time looking into this, not as a philosophical or a intellectual exercise or a theologic exercise, but I’ve. I’ve looked into a lot of the things from the higher dimensions, if you like, down rather than from down here up.

[00:54:28] And bearing in mind what I shared, and going Back to episode 54 and previous episodes, basically there’s a lot of things on higher dimensions that are unseen to your naked eye. But that which are very much beings like you are, if you took away your physical body, everything else, energy, matter, form, but just not physical, isn’t unique to humans. There are other intelligences that are always striving to scupper you and keep you from God. Okay?

[00:55:07] And so it would be naive to think that 2, 3, 4,000 years ago, when people were, you know, the Old Testament was being written and events were happening, that those nefarious, dark and evil beings weren’t also involved then. Probably more so. And so, just as I showed in that slide, that if you tried to channel or reach out to things on higher dimensions or beyond all dimensions to God, that there are legions of things ready to pretend to be God or ready to pretend to be Aunt Agatha, or ready to pretend to be a guardian angel or a spiritual guide, or all of these things.

[00:55:53] But most of them are not good. And the good ones generally don’t answer because that’s not the way.

[00:56:01] The way is that you have your spirit guiding you, and it is through the guidance that your spirit gives you that you will move towards God.

[00:56:08] Anything else, if it’s not referencing God or telling you that the answer is God, that is the one true thing, one thing everywhere. That which is a cause of all, if they’re claiming to be it or, or they’re claiming that there’s a. You know, like some of the stuff people get is to do with technology or Andromeda systems or vortexes or grids or nonsense.

[00:56:35] It’s simple. But there’s a lot of things trying to lead people astray with, for example, technology and stuff like that.

[00:56:43] So two, three, 4,000 years ago, if you were to sit here and all I can say, all I can do is share what I know.

[00:56:56] And the point of spirituality is that my experience on the inside cannot be taken away. But tragically, or just matter of fact, but it cannot be shared with you other than through words. Okay? So I can say all kinds of things I don’t want you to believe because belief is, is the foundation of religion and belief isn’t your own experience.

[00:57:19] So when I say stuff, I want you to aspire to find out for yourself. But the beautiful thing is when anyone speaks truth, truth rings.

[00:57:30] There’s a ring to it.

[00:57:32] You might not understand if I’M talking about complex things.

[00:57:39] I mean, everyone’s in a different place. So for some it might be complex, for you, it might be beneath you, but it doesn’t matter. If there’s understanding, there’s resonance. If it’s truth, it will resonate with you in your core. Because what’s happening is if I say something that’s true, your spirit, which knows the truth because it’s got a direct line with God, goes, hey, you want to listen? He’s talking the truth, follow this.

[00:58:08] And so all I can do is speak from experience.

[00:58:12] But because it’s spiritual experience, there’s no way of me proving it because it’s intangible.

[00:58:17] But I hope that if what I say is truth, that it rings true for you, because I know what I know from the inside, but unfortunately can’t put that on a USB stick and plug it in. You’d have to have your own experiences or see and seek the truth yourself.

[00:58:35] So I know that there are beings and principalities on higher dimensions that have been misleading good humans for a long, long time. And I know that some of the characters who were in referenced in the Bible believed that they were communicating with God. And think about it, because they’ve died doesn’t mean they’re no longer around. So if you’re able to, the information is always there. Nothing gets lost. So, you know, in a mundane way you could ask them, but they’re just not down here anymore. And of course, in trying to ask them, you probably get deceived by people or things pretending to be them. But if you, if you’re aware and you’re able to get past all the deception, then you can start to get to the truth. And the truth that I have found is that even though it was well intentioned and some of them truly believe that what they were seeing, witnessing and recording was God, it wasn’t.

[00:59:33] It was simply beings from higher dimensions posing as God and telling them to do things or giving them visions.

[00:59:43] Now, does that mean that everything in the Bible is a load of nonsense and it’s all alien activity from higher dimensions? No.

[00:59:51] But a percentage of it is misunderstood or deliberate deception on the part of those on higher dimensions.

[01:00:01] But there is a thread of goodness throughout. And I’m really referring to the Old Testament here.

[01:00:06] What Jesus was is genuinely, legitimately the real, the real deal.

[01:00:12] And some of the prophets who came before, in particular Isaiah, were given very specific information because there was an intention that people know before Jesus comes who he was and what he would be doing. So that when it happened, it fulfilled the prophecy to give credence to who he was, notwithstanding all the witnesses of miracles and things in real time.

[01:00:42] But 300 prophecies were fulfilled by Jesus deliberately because God intended that there would be prior knowledge through prophecy. But even Isaiah at times was misled. So, you know, I talk about this in the books I’m writing and I give an example of one of the books was not written by Isaiah, but was written by someone afterwards and placed within his prophecies to distract people and try and hoist up one of these fake beings on higher dimensions who’s presenting themselves as a fake God.

[01:01:21] You couldn’t make this stuff up. But any think about it, anything that would happen down here, like you get people phoning you up, pretending to be British Gas, and they try and scam pensioners out of money, as above, so below, people pretending to be things they’re not, people pretending to be in a position of authority, you know, so whatever goes on down here is a good indication of what’s going on in higher dimensions. And when you look at the Bible, roughly speaking, about one third of prophetic works are actually accurate and of a good Source, and approximately 2/3 are misdirection, deception, or just misunderstanding. And it doesn’t mean the ones that got the visions or recorded them were the ones doing the deception. They were deceived.

[01:02:16] There are a few prophets who were prophets of deception, and some that came later.

[01:02:21] But by and large, a lot of the prophets were just really good people who were reaching out. And because they were likely to reach something good, the forces of darkness stepped in and misdirected them. And so going back to the question of Moses, did God lead Moses out of Egypt?

[01:02:41] No. Moses was a really good guy, as were many of his followers.

[01:02:48] Did you notice in the Bible how much he suffered, how much they suffered, that Moses never even made it to the promised land? Now just consider this.

[01:02:57] If the purpose of your life is to get closer to God. And there’s a question in the chat which I’m going to bring up now because it’s actually relevant. So Rachel B. Jones is saying this seems to dovetail with free will. Absolutely. So the way that life works is that God, remember collies and greyhounds? God created humanity with free will. And you’ve got a spirit within you. And no matter how much distraction there is from within and without, you always have free will to do what is right, driven by your spirit.

[01:03:31] So absolutely it dovetails with free will.

[01:03:34] Now, if you go in the wrong direction, you know, if you make the wrong choices, you move further away from God. It’s as simple as that.

[01:03:45] The slaves in Egypt were having a bad time in that environment, in that situation, there were still choices how they responded. In other words, remember I’ve said this, it’s not, you do not get to choose what happens to you in life. You only get to choose how you respond. And I’m going to say, say that again.

[01:04:08] You do not get to choose what happens to you in life. You only get to choose your response.

[01:04:14] Now, they were incarnating into a place where there was slavery and they were suffering.

[01:04:23] The greater the difficulty, the greater the challenge, the greater the growth when you choose to do the right thing. And it’s only one day at school, you see all the pieces of what we’ve just been discussing come together now.

[01:04:38] So this life may seem like a long life to you, but it’s just a blink of an eye to your higher self and it’s just a moment to God.

[01:04:46] And remember, the gift that God would give you is not based on the deeds or the work you’ve done, nor on how great you were. It’s based on your faith in God and the choices you made through free will to move closer to God. So even as slaves in Egypt, those good people could have moved in that direction. And so you have this good guy, Moses, who’s in a blessed position, you know, he can straddle two worlds and you have his people.

[01:05:23] And something. Remember I said about all the deception above, Something thought, well, we could have a problem brewing here. All these good people starting to question things. Let’s send them on a 40 year mission and let’s watch them suffer for 40 years.

[01:05:39] It wasn’t God.

[01:05:41] They were busy being human right where they were.

[01:05:45] There’s no need to move people around.

[01:05:50] You know, they can be born somewhere else in the next lifetime if there’s somewhere better.

[01:05:56] It’s only one lifetime.

[01:05:59] It’s what you do with the environment you were born into. Remember, we choose the environment we’re born into.

[01:06:06] So did they get that wrong?

[01:06:09] So I’m not saying in 21st century, moving around is pretty easy. I’m not saying that. Don’t move. I’ve done it. I’ve lived in Italy, but it wasn’t where I was meant to be. And when I was receptive to my higher self, I moved back to England, the place I said I would never return to. And yet here I am.

[01:06:26] Although you don’t know where I am right now because I’m in the motorhome but the point is, you get the idea that whether I was in Italy, whether I was in England, I’m still a human being. I still have free will, and I’m still making choices on a daily basis that will move me closer to God or away from God. So did God lead Moses out of Egypt? No.

[01:06:47] Did something pretending to be God?

[01:06:50] Yes. Is that the same thing that perhaps messed around with the weather and created. I can’t remember all the stories about droughts and swarms of locusts and pestilence and disease, if you haven’t seen it already. I do an art. I did a live show where I talked about the number of weather manipulation projects on this planet at this time. And look, all this erratic weather, and yet there’s well over 1700 projects to manipulate the weather. Maybe the erratic weather’s being caused by all the projects.

[01:07:26] You know, just a thought.

[01:07:29] People are starting to wake up to this.

[01:07:31] But, you know, if all of these weather manipulation projects were to protect us and to make the weather better, why are we seeing worse and worse weather as the number of these projects increases? I digress. But the point is, Even now in 21st century, we’re seeing examples of technology and means just on the third dimension, to mess around with the weather to create droughts. Was it Dubai or one of these places where they. They decide when it’s going to rain and they make it rain and they messed around with the weather and then eventually it triggered a massive flood?

[01:08:06] Because you can only mess around with things so much before nature kicks in again. I digress, but it’s always good to try and take these biblical stories and look at modern parallels and see what we can learn, and then take it back to spiritual things, which is that whether you’re a slave in Egypt building the pyramids or you’re, you know, if you cross the Red Sea and you’re somewhere else, the location doesn’t change your potential.

[01:08:39] Your occupation doesn’t change your potential.

[01:08:43] Remember the gifts that God would bestow upon you, that your salvation, spiritually speaking, is not dependent on your workmanship.

[01:08:53] It’s dependent on your faith, your humility, your love for Jesus and God.

[01:08:59] Jesus is the embodiment of God. Spirituality is the desire to return to the source. The source is God. Simple.

[01:09:07] So let us just go back to the slides.

[01:09:13] What’s going on here?

[01:09:16] There we go.

[01:09:19] Did God lead Moses out of Egypt? No.

[01:09:23] And that is the end of the slide. So I just wanted to do a quick announcement, and I apologize. The start of this live show, I Literally had tested everything not two minutes before we started streaming. And then the main camera just decided to blip on me. So. But luckily we had second camera and we got that working.

[01:09:48] But I just wanted to share with you that last week I didn’t do reading from the book, and I had a, an online meet up with a whole bunch of people who I’ve been supporting and who I. I kind of trust their, their judgment on things. And I said, look, guys, these live shows are quite long enough without having a book reading in. I’ve got the idea of maybe just doing the book reading as its own thing and, and probably doing that on Sundays. So not this Sunday because I think there’s still a bit of preparation I need to do. But the following Sunday, I’m gonna start doing a Sunday show where I’m reading the book and, and it’ll be the same book that we’ve been reading up to now, but we’ll go back to page one and it’ll be much more focused on reading it as before, giving more context, backstory, insights and stuff, always with a spiritual spin on things, because that’s the whole point, is to be more spiritual. But I also want to encourage you to send me your questions if you’ve got questions specifically about the book.

[01:11:02] You know, and obviously when we get started, there might not be any questions, but as I go, then if I’m reading something and you go, oh, could you explain that a bit better, please? Then that’ll be the forum to do that. So that’s something to look forward to and also look forward to next week having both cameras working.

[01:11:23] It’s been quite nice sitting in here. Like, there’s a reason I had to come in here today.

[01:11:27] And one of the benefits is that I was able to turn on the. Got my little remote control here, there’s an air conditioning unit, so I got it really nice and chilled before, just before the live show started.

[01:11:40] So one of the advantages of sitting in here is that. And also I think it’s quite nice and comfortable in here. So who knows, I might come back in here next week. But for now, as ever, I keep looking at the wrong camera. This is the one to look at, as ever. Thank you first of all, for joining me.

[01:11:59] This will be released as a podcast, and last week’s will be a podcast when I’ve had a chance to do them.

[01:12:06] In the meantime, remember, as we’ve discussed today, it’s all about your free will. So keep making choices that are good, that move you into a more spiritual way of being.

[01:12:18] And, and a hint is really what we discussed earlier, which is when we’re talking about the absolute qualities of God, total stillness, total neutrality, total accepting, total unconditional love, etc. That’s kind of a good way to be.

[01:12:34] You know, not asking much, but aspire.

[01:12:37] Because remember, all that God achieves is done through intention.

[01:12:42] Oh, by the way, one of the questions was does God act?

[01:12:46] Because that was kind of another question.

[01:12:48] I’ll probably cover that in the podcast, but for now, keep making good decisions. Thank you for joining me and God bless you wherever you are and I’ll see you next week.

[01:13:01] Thank you for being awesome and joining me for this episode. I’m truly grateful. As a spiritual person, I hope it’s inspiring to realize that you’re not alone and that more and more like minded people just like you are enjoying this live show. This means that you’re part of a growing and awakening community and together we’re all finding the way back to God. Going deeper than just ideas and beliefs to experience firsthand real spiritual awakening. This is a journey of the heart, not the head.

[01:13:36] So take this moment to just become a little bit stiller, more present, more neutral.

[01:13:45] Now notice what you notice when I ask you this question.

[01:13:52] What in this particular episode has been most useful?

[01:13:59] Now, who in your life at this particular time would benefit the most from knowing this too? Maybe it’s one person, or maybe it’s more than one. But because sharing is caring, it’s really nice to know that you can actually share this show with them and therefore help them.

[01:14:16] This show is completely free to enjoy and benefit from. Now, speaking of free stuff, if you’d like other useful, helpful spiritual resources, then head on over to https://thewaybackgroup.org there you’ll find all kinds of free resources. Articles, eBooks, MP3s, guided meditations, and a whole load of other stuff that’s completely free and waiting for you to discover it. So that’s all for this episode, but your journey and my journey continues. And so I look forward to having you join me next week for more revenue and exploration into spiritual things. And together, let’s make more sense of life, not just for us, but for our loved ones so that we can help them too.

[01:15:05] So remember to subscribe and hit the notifications so that you don’t miss out. Who knows what we’ll be discussing next week and the next question or topic might even be yours. Perhaps there’s a reason you been guided to this show.

[01:15:19] So God bless you. And remember, real change starts when we put into practice what we’re learning so that we go from thinking and doing to finally being.

[01:15:37] So take what you’ve learned today and keep on being the best version of you.

[01:15:43] God bless.

[01:15:57] Okay, thank you for sticking around. And as promised, I’d like to just go over the kind of key take homes from this episode because we actually covered a lot and I wanted to make sure that, that we all are kind of on the same page and really got the true meaning of what was being communicated.

[01:16:16] So just a quick recap.

[01:16:19] God created humanity with the potential to be good.

[01:16:24] Just as, you know, I was using the analogy in the podcast of collies are like collies and greyhounds are like greyhounds. So God predisposed us with potential to be good.

[01:16:37] And then we were given a gift, which is the gift of free will.

[01:16:42] And what that really comes down to is do we listen to our ego, which will take us more into the world, or do we listen to our spirit? And our spirit is that part within us, I was going to say that brightest or that greatest part within us that is guiding us towards God.

[01:17:01] And so the plan, if you like, isn’t so much a plan as an intention.

[01:17:10] God’s intention for humanity, and therefore for each of us, is that we would make the choices by demonstrating free will to move towards God. And if we do so, then ultimately that is spirit spirituality.

[01:17:28] And so without free will, there is no spirituality. And we’ve touched on this in other episodes, but I really wanted to make it absolutely clear how important free will is.

[01:17:39] Because God doesn’t plan your day, he doesn’t make you do anything.

[01:17:46] God gives you choice.

[01:17:48] And your potential is to be good. And so when you exercise your friends free will in the direction of your spirit, you grow in spirituality. When you exercise your free will in the direction of your ego, you move in the opposite direction, which also means away from God. So that’s kind of the real crux of it all.

[01:18:10] And then we have the question of whether God acts.

[01:18:13] And I was going to address that in this podcast and here we are.

[01:18:18] But. But it’s actually quite a big topic and I think it deserves its own section in a future live show, maybe the next one, but definitely soon. So thank you for your patience. And when eventually I’ve answered that second part, that part about whether God’s acts, then I’ll definitely put a link in the description notes here so you can link through to it. But as ever, if you’ve got your own questions, do get in touch. And you know, this whole episode was based on someone very kindly sending in these questions. And it could be you next time, but for now I’ll just say, look, thank you very much for your time, and we’re all on this journey together, and we’re all learning and discovering together.

[01:19:04] So I’ll see you next week.

[01:19:08] God bless.
