Episode synopsis TL;DR:

Have you ever done a full moon ritual or sun gazing? Perhaps you’ve celebrated a new moon? What are people not telling you about these practices? Plus courage, laughter, and congruency on a spiritual path. A deep look into how we live a more spiritually awake life. This episode discusses what is in the shadows of sun gazing and full moon worship/dance/rituals. But first we find out if innocently doing the wrong practice without realising it is bad, has an affect on us or not?

Episode transcript:

[00:00:04] Hello, this is Mark from The Way Back and what we’re about to listen to was recorded on the 4th of September, 2025.

[00:00:13] And originally this was just going to be talking about courage and laughter and congruency of thought, but it became a much bigger discussion about topics like sungazing and moon rituals and also characters like Lilith. So it’s quite a interesting podcast, to say the least. Covers quite a few topics and though it’s an hour and a half long, it goes really quickly because there’s a lot that we cover in it and a lot of it is actually really, really helpful, really, really relevant and importantly, I give some examples and things that we can do to put things into practice.

[00:00:50] And yeah, basically I would like to invite you to join me in enjoying episode 75. God bless.

[00:01:05] Good evening, I’m Mark Zaretti and this is discussing spirituality with myself on behalf of The Way Back, which is a not-for-profit group that’s fundamentally all about spirituality. And so this is a kind of a live show. It’s also an opportunity for me to answer your questions. And tonight I will be doing just that. You, if you’re used to this show, you’ll probably be thinking the layout’s a bit different today. And that’s because things didn’t quite work in terms of the technology.

[00:01:35] New software, new operating system and some of the plugins just decided they weren’t going to play ball.

[00:01:42] And I had to make a choice. Do we not do the show tonight or do I improvise at the like 11th hour and 59th minute? And so that’s what I opted for is to improvise because it’s more important to do the show, I think, than to worry about the, you know, whether I’ve got all the different displays set up. So tonight this is it, it’s just me. I’ve got the screen here so you can see the chat in the background. I’m going to put the slides up there in a moment and there won’t be any jumping between different views or anything like that, but hopefully you will be able to see the slides up here and then in the write up, in the podcast write up that I always do, I’ll put the slides there as well. So you can kind of go back if that’s a bit too small for you to see.

[00:02:24] But, but as ever, here we are and thank you for joining me.

[00:02:29] Just bear with me because I’ve literally just had to do a very quick kind of emergency, you know, reshuffle of everything, including the camera angle.

[00:02:42] So I’m a bit discombobulated. Give me a moment. As you know, it’s all about being in state. So give me a moment and I will practice what I teach, which is to be in state.

[00:02:55] And rather, I don’t know if it’s apartment or not, but tonight’s episode, which is episode 75, by the way, it’s quite amazing to think that we’ve done 75 of these.

[00:03:05] Episode 75 tonight is about courage, among other things, and that’s based on a question that one of you has asked.

[00:03:14] And if I just get to the right place, then I should be able to do this. So, unfortunately, the brightness might mean that you can’t quite see, but it doesn’t matter. I’m going to read everything out for you. But we’ve got coming up, innocence, congruency, courage and laughter. And I’m going to have to keep turning, so I might just move around a little bit so that I can see the screen without jumping around too much.

[00:03:47] And in fact, I might be able to help myself so that it’s a bit easier for me if we do this over on this screen. Yeah. So. LAUGHTER so these are the topics today. Innocence, congruency, courage and laughter. And it’s all about spirituality. And there is a point to this, and it actually does. A lot of it follows on from last week. So I would recommend. If you haven’t seen last week’s episode, definitely worth seeing.

[00:04:16] Not just because this episode kind of follows on. You don’t need to have seen last week’s episode, but actually I think it’s just a really helpful episode if you consider yourself spiritual, then there’ll be stuff in there that will probably be of interest to you. And I’ve. It’s just by chance, I’ve got my kind of tropical theme shirt on and the opening image was the lion. And in case you not familiar with 1930s films, then this is the line from the wizard of Oz, which is the lion that didn’t have courage and he wanted to get courage. And I thought that was rather apt since we’ll be talking about courage.

[00:04:56] So this is picture in picture stuff. Here’s me from last week and here’s a chat from last week, and I want to draw your attention to this particular comment. Just allow me to read it out for you.

[00:05:08] So we’re talking about all the different things that people do that they may consider spiritual, or there’s some element of them that are spiritual, but actually it’s not really that spiritual. And some of them may even be detrimental. And I gave a whole list of examples last week and someone asked this question, does it count if you’ve done something but it wasn’t meant to be spiritual, but done more out of interest, I did something, but I didn’t consider it spiritual. What they did isn’t really relevant. It’s the question that’s relevant. And that was actually from Millie 277 2, who I believe is with us tonight. So thank you, Millie, for the question. I did kind of touch on it last week, but I thought it was actually there was a deeper question there and I wanted to go into that. So the deeper question there, which luckily is quite big text so you can read it on the screen, is if I did something innocently and didn’t realize it was bad, would I still have been affected? I believe that that’s really the subte or the question that’s being asked, reading between the lines. And that’s really worth addressing because if we were to go back last week, we had a whole list of things and I was very honest and I said, look, you know, I’ve done 25 out of 30 of these and it was by no means a definitive list. So after the show I was discussing it with someone and there were other things that could have been on that list. And I’m sure you also, if you watched it, have thought, oh yeah, and this and this. And the point I’m making is there’s no finger pointing or tutting or anything. We’re in this together, we’re learning together. And for me, this has been a very long journey. I’m just do a quick bit of maths. But I’m 43, 44 years into this journey and that means that I’ve tried things, I’ve done things, I’ve reached the limit of some things and I’ve learned new things or new information or had deeper realizations that meant the things I did in the past I wouldn’t do now when it comes to spirituality. And so for example, we’re talking about working with crystals, doing reiki work, remote viewing, these, astral projection, these were just some of the things that we discussed last week. And so this question is, if I did something innocently like one of those things and it and didn’t realize it was bad or had detrimental effects, would I still have been affected?

[00:07:28] So that’s the first question that we’re going to look at. And there’s some good examples of this. So this is something that I used to do, which is sun gazing. There’s A picture of a guy sun gazing. And there’s the kind of nighttime version of that which would be anything to do with the moon. And this is a genuine.

[00:07:43] I just did a search online for moon worship and this picture came up among others. And it isn’t staged. This is a genuine ritual done that people do. And again, I’ve spent a lot of time.

[00:07:57] I used to be interested in astrology, that was another thing on the list. And so there’s no. There’s no finger pointing. I was also a keen photographer, so I spent a lot of time photographing the moon, among other things.

[00:08:08] But I’ve done a lot of sun gazing, especially up in Yorkshire. Used to walk my dog and then stop it. And there was a nice place to sit and just watch the sun. And the same with the moon. Not so much personally, but I know a lot of people are very much into the moon.

[00:08:22] And so they’re two examples. And I chose them because I know a lot of people are interested in this stuff, have practiced it and are doing it. And so going back to the question, if we did something innocently, such as sun gazing or moon gazing or moon worship or moon rituals and didn’t realize it was bad, would I still have been affected?

[00:08:46] And the.

[00:08:49] There is an answer to that question.

[00:08:52] Good, luckily, because that’s the whole purpose of this show. But it’s nuanced.

[00:08:58] So if you did something totally innocently and for example, there was an energy exchange. So in the case of crystals we were talking about, there can be an energy exchange because crystals have a vibration and an energy and geometry as well. And so they can affect your energy, vibration and even geometry.

[00:09:18] Think about it like a tuning fork.

[00:09:21] It affects the person hearing it as well as the environment it’s in.

[00:09:25] And it’s the same with the sun. If you stare at the sun, there is actually an energy exchange, even if it’s just. Even if you’re only able to contemplate that on a physical level, you’ll feel the warmth of the sun. The photons from the sun are going into your eye. And if you’ve looked into anything to do with more recent research into how certain vitamins and minerals are made in your body, then there’s a lot to do with the eyes. And the effect of blue light is another thing to do with the eyes.

[00:09:52] So there’s something going on with light entering the eye that can have an effect that is beyond just the physical. And it’s the same with the moon. And I haven’t tested this myself. It’s an interesting experiment which I would like to do one day. But if you put a thermometer in the sun, it will warm up. And when you put it in the shade of the sun, it will cool down. But if you put a thermometer in moonlight, it will get colder. And if you move it back into a shadow so it’s out of the moonlight, then it will get warmer. So it seems to be the moon takes heat away, the sun gives heat, which is quite interesting. So there’s different effects.

[00:10:30] And put it very simply, the effect of if you spent 10 minutes gazing at the moon or 10 minutes gazing at the sun, the sun would have more of an effect on you energetically because it’s more potent. But the vibration or the. The energy is very similar. They’re both actually quite negative. And I know this might surprise people.

[00:10:57] And there is a correlation that kind of helps understand or demonstrate this. And this is very broad brushstroke. So I’m not singling out individuals or cultures. It’s just generally speaking, if you were to plot the amount of, for example, voodoo, voodoo, black magic, those kind of things that are done overtly so in the open, as part of culture and tradition, there’s a correlation between those places where they get a lot of sun tend to do more than places that don’t. And there’ll be exceptions, so there’ll be hot spots in either. You’ll get even in very cold places where they don’t get much sunlight.

[00:11:44] But it is a correlation. And I stumbled across this when I was doing a lot of spiritual work many, many years ago, trying to understand stuff, because I don’t know if you’ve heard some of the previous episodes, but I talked about. I used to do a lot of supporting people in Africa, and I was constantly being requested, could I look into this and could I look into that? And normally the root cause of a problem was black magic. And because of where I’m at in my journey, I can intervene to break the bonds of that kind of stuff. But I was finding a lot more of that going on in those temperate places that get a lot more sunshine. And that’s got what got me interested in looking into these correlations purely from a spiritual energy point of view. So I’m kind of sharing that.

[00:12:27] That’s why I knew. And that’s the sun gazing.

[00:12:30] That’s what got me into looking into the actual energy exchange. Now, it can make you feel good, it can make you feel centered, can make you feel grounded, but a lot of it comes from just the fact that you’re slowing down, you’re becoming more present and you’re actually giving your attention to something. So it’s kind of like entering into a meditative state. It’s almost like people are using the sun without realizing it as an excuse to meditate. Open eyed meditation, you could do the same on a candle, for example. And I used to teach candle meditation. I don’t anymore. Because again, if we want to be spiritual, don’t give our attention to something mundane, give us attention to something greater.

[00:13:08] So the sun is more potent than the moon, but they both have a similar effect, which is negativity.

[00:13:17] There are other aspects.

[00:13:19] So if you are deliberately staying up late and being active as a human being to engage with moonlight, then you’re going against the natural rhythms of your body and that will have an effect as well.

[00:13:35] But I just, I’m going to go into this a little bit more because it’s a good example of just how the more we know, the more we have free will.

[00:13:46] So again, keep in at the forefront. Mark isn’t criticizing. Mark did these things. Okay, so he’s sharing. Now I’m talking about myself in third person, but I’m sharing from my own mistakes, from my own understanding, from my own research, and from over 43 years of spiritual endeavor.

[00:14:07] So that you can make a choice. Do you want to carry on doing these things or in light of the, literally the light being shone, the truth of light being shone upon a subject. Do you want to revise and review?

[00:14:21] And we’ll, we’ll go over that process as well, the revise and review process. But basically sun and moon, there’s an interaction this. Now if you did it innocently, you still were affected by those energies. And it’s interesting as well, because if you just walked in moonlight, it will have an effect on you. If you stay more still and gaze intently at the moon directly, it will have a much stronger effect. Because it’s all about the eyes. And you’ve probably heard people say the eyes are the doorway to the soul. That gives you a clue as to something about why.

[00:14:59] Because these energies, we’re not talking about physical energies, we’re talking about spiritual energies. So the spiritual energy emanating from the moon and the sun is negative, more potent from the sun and it comes in through the eye. So if you look at them for prolonged periods of time, you will feel, or this is the key thing, you might not feel anything, but the energy is negative and it’s making you more negative. Now the interesting thing about Being made more negative is that engages. It kind of like activates ego. Ego can make you feel good.

[00:15:33] That’s why people get off on ego. They go into it, it spirals.

[00:15:37] So the feelings and, and this is where this overlaps with a lot of other things we’ve done.

[00:15:43] Feelings and emotions are never a good judge or never good way of judging whether something is good or not. Because you can feel very good because your ego is activated.

[00:15:52] And so you can have feelings that validate the experience because you think it’s good, but it’s actually your ego going, I want more of this. Because it’s making the ego stronger and stronger and stronger. Ego is a negative state. So if you’re taking on board negative energy by giving your focus to something that is radiating negativity, then the part of you that is the opposite to spiritual will start to become more engaged and it wants to keep your attention. So it will create a positive feedback loop on that negativity.

[00:16:25] So the question is, does it affect you? Yes.

[00:16:29] But interestingly, if you knew it wasn’t good and you did it. So say you went and did it now after what I’ve said now, interestingly, whether or not you believe what I’ve said, you have the knowledge, you have the information, the effect would be stronger because there’s a willing choice. In other words, you’re now exercising free will.

[00:16:48] Before you knew the information, there was no free will. There was just simply going along. You might have been invited to a moon worship ritual or some kind of cleansing thing, or a prayer circle or whatever it was, or a sun gazing event and you went along just because you like the people or you’re open minded.

[00:17:07] That isn’t the same as I’ve heard information that this might not be good, but I’m going to do it anyway.

[00:17:13] Now you’re exercising more free will. But the other interesting thing is your higher self would never have guided you into those environments or would have guided you at the time. This isn’t good. You’re becoming more negative. Even though you might feel like this is spiritual, you’re becoming more negative of energy. You need to move away from this.

[00:17:33] So what’s happening? You are being guided, but because of the negativity of what you’re doing, you’re dropping more and more out of state. So you’re less and less receptive to the guidance. So you’re less likely to hear your higher self, metaphorically speaking saying leave. And so you stay. And so you spiral. Because now you’re ignoring your higher self, which is the opposite of being spiritually attuned.

[00:17:59] But you think you’re being spiritual, so it goes into identity and therefore feeds ego. Because you think what I’m doing is really, really spiritual.

[00:18:07] And your higher self has been shouting at you literally. Can’t you see this is wrong?

[00:18:13] Because your higher self knows the energy effect of whatever you’re doing, so it’s constantly guiding you. Don’t do that, don’t do that. You ignore it because the negative energy is making you turn your back on all that is good. The opposite of, you know, opposite of good is negativity or bad.

[00:18:27] And you become more negative and therefore you’re falling from your own spirituality. And what will happen is you’ll probably get what I refer to as feedback down the line, which is, for example, if you’re not listening, you might get air problems. Or if you’re not seeing things clearly, your eyes will start to fail, whether that’s vision or blurred or fatigue or anything. So there will be feedback congruent with the message that you’re not listening, you’re not seeing things clearly, that kind of thing.

[00:18:58] But we’ve all been there. So I’ve done these things. There’s no judgment. But I just wanted to use this as an example because I think this kind of stuff is quite prevalent. A lot of people do it and there’s a lot of overlap. So people talk about grounding and that’s a good thing. And grounding kind of goes hand in hand sometimes with some worship. So people go with barefoot. And there’s a guy in the park every morning. I admire him for his dedication, but he’s standing there gazing at the sun. It’s not my place to say when he’s ready, he’ll be guided to the information if he can be receptive, which means breaking that negative cycle.

[00:19:35] But I, I also thought it’d be quite interesting just to look at. Well, is there any precedence for warnings or cautions against these things? So I’m going to one of my favorite books from the Old Testament. Remember, we’re not religious here, but there is a lot of wisdom. And Isaiah is someone that spoke a lot of wisdom.

[00:19:55] And so you’re not going to. It’s very difficult for you to see this on the screen. So I’m just going to read it out and put the slides in the write up. But we have Isaiah 1, chapter 1, verse 12.

[00:20:09] And this is basically God talking via Isaiah to the people, saying, when you come to appear before me, who required this of your hands to tread in My courts. And he’s talking about, why are you doing all these sacrifices and these rituals and these kind of this. Why are you doing all this stuff?

[00:20:30] Basically, bring no more oblations.

[00:20:33] Sin in vain. Incense is an abomination unto me. I cannot suffer your new moons, nor Sabbath, nor solemn days.

[00:20:42] It is inequity nor solemn assemblies. So he’s basically, this is God saying through Isaiah to the people, I didn’t ask you to do all this. Why are you sacrificing animals? Why are you burning incense? Why are you worshiping new moons? Why are you worshiping the Sabbath? Why are you doing these assemblies I. E. Gatherings?

[00:21:04] My soul hateth your new moons and your appointed feasts. They are a burden unto me. I am weary to bear them. So this is God through Isaiah. And this is 700 years before Jesus, by the way. Okay.

[00:21:18] And when you shall stretch out your hands. And I thought I was rather apt because the guy here has got his hands stretched out.

[00:21:25] I will hide mine eyes from you. And though ye make many prayers, I will not hear, for your hands are full of blood. So this is basically God saying all the rituals and the moon worship and the ceremonies and the sacrifices, and all of these things have nothing to do with me. I didn’t ask you to do this. He literally says, it’s like, who required this of you? Meaning it wasn’t me.

[00:21:50] So in modern parlance, this is basically saying all that stuff that we do that’s ritualistic, that’s worshipping things, isn’t actually centered spiritually. It’s not actually. Because remember, spirituality is your love for God, your desire to be closer to God.

[00:22:09] And I do not mean religious, I mean an actual.

[00:22:13] A deep inner yearning that cannot really be explained in words. But is there nonetheless that.

[00:22:20] That. That there’s. There’s more to life, there’s something deeper, there’s something more profound.

[00:22:25] You know what it is?

[00:22:26] Okay?

[00:22:28] And so that’s one reference. And then there’s, oh, yeah. And then it finishes with wash you, make you clean, take away the evil of your works. From before mine eyes cease to do evil. Basically, it’s God equating doing all of these ritual things like moon worship or sun gazing or whatever as evil.

[00:22:49] Okay? And that it’s unclean, so you have to clean yourself. Now, that is could literally be translated as that negative energy you’ve absorbed now needs to be got rid of you before you can be before me. In other words, before you can be in state and spiritual.

[00:23:04] So Isaiah 13 has another, I think, very key mention of the sun and the moon. So behold, the day of the Lord cometh cruel with wrath and fierce anger to lay the land waste, and he shall destroy the sinners out of it. So this is referring to end of days or end of times. Okay? And the idea of endo times isn’t the end of humanity. It’s actually the lifting up of humanity, the salvation of humanity. It’s referring to the end of the days of those who oppress humans who are bad and evil. You know, you see them in the newspapers and you.

[00:23:39] You know, you. We have to choose between one or the other of them whenever we do elections and stuff. But basically, when the day comes. So take this as literal, take this as symbolic. That’s entirely up to you. But it’s basically when the day of judgment comes, whatever that is, symbolic or real, God’s going to destroy all the sinners for the. For the stars of heaven and the planets thereof shall not give their light.

[00:24:06] So that’s a reference to the cosmos or the firmament, depending on which flavor you want to go down. The sun shall be darkened in its. In his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine. In other translations, it’s literally the sun and the moon will be ripped out of the sky.

[00:24:25] Now, here’s the key thing. I’ll just read on and then I’ll tell you the key understanding I’ve got from years of meditation and spiritual. Because I’ve looked into this from a more spiritual perspective, and I want to share that with you, if you’re interested.

[00:24:40] And I will visit the wickedness upon the world and their inequity upon the wicked. And I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease. And I will cast down the pride of tyrants. Okay, it’s not saying it’s going to. There’s no punishment for good people, you and I. It’s for those who are bad. Okay?

[00:24:59] I will make a man more precious than fine gold, even a man above the wedge of gold of Ophir.

[00:25:06] And that’s basically saying by man, human, human being, man, woman, human being will be more precious than anything in creation. At that point.

[00:25:15] That tells you a lot. Okay?

[00:25:18] Therefore, I will shake the heaven and the earth shall remove out of her place in the wrath of the Lord of hosts and in the day of his fear of Sangha, if the earth is removed out of its place, then the moon and the sun will no longer be there. And it says, and the moon and the sun will no longer have any light.

[00:25:36] So, God, when It comes to judgment, metaphorical, literal, does not value the sun or the moon. He values man as in human, as in you. Okay, More precious than the. What is it? The wedge of gold, of affair, which I’m assuming is very precious or very well renowned in its time. So this is 2800 or so years ago. So what it’s saying is the moon is not important, the sun is not important, the light is not important. What is important is you. That’s what God’s saying here. And previous to that he’s saying, why do you do all these things? Why are you worshiping the sun? Why are you worshiping the moon? I didn’t ask you to do that.

[00:26:16] Okay, very interesting stuff. Now, because of the technical hurdles, I didn’t have time to prepare some of the stuff, but I, I’ve got links, I’ll share them. But basically, if you were to search for deities of the moon or deities of the sun, you will find list after list after list of various deities that represent the sun and the moon.

[00:26:42] So for example, you’ve got Diana, Lilith for the moon, there’s a few others.

[00:26:53] The goddess of the hunt, I can’t remember her name now, but basically they’re actually all more or less the same being.

[00:27:01] So on these, these, this is what you might call principalities. They’re not gods, they’d like to think of themselves as gods, but they’re ancient beings, okay? And so they’ve appeared to various cultures at various times. And so each culture has different names for them, but there actually not that many of them.

[00:27:18] And one of them does indeed have dominion over the moon, and one of them does indeed have dominion over the sun.

[00:27:27] And if you worship the sun, then you worship that sun. Being God, it’s not a God, but they’d like to think of themselves as, and the Egyptians would have referred to them as the sun God, Ra, etc. And if you worship the moon, then you basically worship Lilith or Diana or some of the other names she’s gone by. And I honestly can’t remember right now, but there’s a lot of names.

[00:27:52] Just think of your Greek gods, your Roman gods and stuff like that. And I’m just going to jump over to the chat in case anyone’s helping me out here.

[00:28:03] No, but someone forgot it was Thursday by looks of it. So if you can remember the name of the lunar gods, then write them in the chat and I’ll have a look later. But basically, what, what does this mean from your point of view? Because going right back to the question if you didn’t know and you did it out of innocence, was there an effect?

[00:28:23] This is really important to know. If you did any kind of worship, even if you didn’t realize it was worship, if it was a ritual thing, and maybe there was words and music, incantations, or people were there saying the words and you went along with it, then you become bound because of your free will. You’ve basically said, so say you worship the sun. You’ve said whatever that being is claimed, dominion over the sun at this time.

[00:28:52] I give them rule over me. It’s like a contract. You know, you’ve heard of people saying, well, I signed a contract with the devil. The famous one was Bob Dylan in an interview actually admitted that.

[00:29:06] Now again, whether he’s talking figuratively or whether he’s talking metaphorically, it doesn’t really matter.

[00:29:16] There are non physical beings. I think most people are starting to wake up to that fact. And that’s what’s been talked about in every single culture since the dawn of time. And all of the creation stories of every single culture across the planet refers to some kind of being or thing. And you know, in modern kind of UFO speak, they could keep going on about the Anunnaki and the Nephilim and the Watchers and stuff like that. All of these are just references to races or beings on, on other dimensions. Okay, so let’s keep it simple. There’s one that rules the sun, there’s one that rules the moon. And if you give worship to the moon or the sun, you’re basically saying, well, I am bound to your rule.

[00:30:00] And it’s quite interesting because that then allows any of their.

[00:30:05] I was going to use the dictates, but there’s various words I use when I’m doing this work, like measures, but basically anything they decree. And this would include any magic, which is think about magic as someone using geometry and energy to trap an intention so that it’s like a permanent intention that gets applied to someone or something.

[00:30:26] So in very simple terms, they can set up magic, put it on, you know, imbue it into the moon or imbue it into the sun and say, those that worship me are bound by this magic.

[00:30:37] And that might seem like nonsense to some people, other people will realize the severity and the significance of that. So if you have worshiped the moon or you’ve worshiped the sun, deliberately or inadvertently, you have created a binding contract or agreement with that being that you will be bound by their magic and their intentions for you. Okay? And it’s Never good.

[00:31:04] Okay. If you’re a good spiritual human being, it is never good. And so when I looked into it earlier today, at this time on the planet there are 15% of all humanity are bound to the moon or bound to the moon goddess.

[00:31:17] And that isn’t good. And it’s interesting because when I started looking into so what does this magic do, it’s all centered around sex.

[00:31:27] So it will create problems to do with, in men, it will create issues with sex, like performance issues or impotence, that kind of thing. In women, it will create a lot of unnecessary pain and suffering in menopause or in the cycle each month.

[00:31:46] So it’s not saying it causes the problems, but it abrogates and makes them worse. And it’s because that particular being doesn’t have a love for humanity, can’t stand humanity.

[00:31:55] And so everyone that accidentally or misguidedly binds themselves to the moon is affected in some way by the magic that that person, that being has created to make humanity suffer.

[00:32:10] So but it all gets wrapped up in law and misguided and, and well intentioned people end up doing things that they thought was going to help them. But actually as it says, you know, and though ye make many prayers, I will not hear for your hands are full of blood. That blood is symbolic. It’s not just the blood of doing animal sacrifices. It could be that your hands are full as in you are holding this other, this, this God or this false God in your esteem and therefore you don’t have space in your heart. For me, it’s kind of what God might be saying there. Well, that’s one way of interpreting it. So it’s fascinating stuff. So I thought it was worth going into that because obviously this is, this is stuff that affects all of us.

[00:32:52] And I apologize again, you can’t really see the screen, but this is just a reminder of what I said about the Belief detox episode 74. And so if we take what we’ve just done to do with the moon and the sun, which is something we’ve all probably done at some point or been interested in, then step one is to be totally honest with yourself and I’ll just very quickly go through this. But bearing in mind moon and sun as examples, so what do I believe? So the belief might be the there’s good energy or that it can help us spiritually awaken or it can help us transform our lives by doing this work with the sun or the moon.

[00:33:30] How am I attached to the, how attached am I to this belief? Well, that would Be, look, if you’ve got the moon and the sun tattooed on your back, you know, or, or you’re wearing lots of pendants, or you have changed your name to Diana or something like that in worship of the moon God goddess, then you’re attached to it. The extreme of an attachment. We. Are you willing to die for that belief? Okay, and have I made it a part of my identity again?

[00:33:55] Are we adorning ourselves or our homes with iconography to do with the moon and the sun, that kind of stuff? Or are we now, I don’t know, a sun gazing life coach. In other words, it’s how we earn our money and what am I really worshiping? So that was the point I was making, that if you are worshiping or giving your attention to the sun or the moon, you’re actually worshiping the sun gods or, or the moon goddess. Which are these characters that aren’t necessarily what you think they are.

[00:34:23] And what’s the authority here? Well, it’s not God and it’s not you, so it’s something else.

[00:34:30] Step two, Natural detachment or neutral detachment? Sorry, why do I believe this? Was it because someone you trusted encouraged you to go on a course? Or that you just found something online and it reached you at a time when you felt you needed it? And maybe, maybe you were misguided, Maybe those that do not want you to grow spiritually made you interested so that you went off on a tangent that you thought was spiritual but actually isn’t helping you? You know many dead ends on the path. Okay, so why do I believe this? What assumptions have I made to allow this belief? For example, that you thought it was good, that you didn’t believe that anything could be negative to do with the sun and the moon, that you only believe in good energy, that you, that you’re, that you don’t want to acknowledge that there’s anything bad out there, that kind of thing. What limits are implied by this belief? So the limit might be that you think that a human being doesn’t have all the energy they need and therefore they need to stare at a sun, for example.

[00:35:31] What do I actually know from direct personal experience?

[00:35:34] So what have you actually experienced?

[00:35:37] And I’ll give you a clue. If it was fundamentally feeling based, then that probably wasn’t spiritual. That’s more than likely. Identity and feelings can be easily manipulated.

[00:35:51] And did it bring you closer to God? Truly, did it actually bring you closer to God?

[00:35:56] So part three is embrace congruency. So affirm what your actual goal is. If your goal is to be spiritual, then your goal is to be spiritual. Which is different from saying, I am a sun worshiper or I am a moon worshiper, for example.

[00:36:08] What is the shortest and simplest path to reach your goal? So if your goal is spirituality, then you could give. You could stand there gazing at the sun for 10 minutes, or you could close your eyes and go into your heart and with gratitude and love for God for 10 minutes. Which do you think will bring you closer to God, for example? And then take personal responsibility.

[00:36:32] So acknowledge that if you’ve gone off in the wrong direction, okay, you made a mistake. I put my hand up, done it, been there, done it. I’ll be the first to admit it. I took full responsibility.

[00:36:44] Forgive yourself. So I forgive myself for doing sun worship, sun gazing and stuff like that, and let go and let God. So, you know, it’s like literally have a little prayer. And I’m not saying pray as I would, but it might just be a simple prayer. I’m really sorry I did these things. God, please guide me in the right way. And if I have harmed myself in any way with negative energy, then I pray that I am cleared, cleansed, and restored, you know? So that was kind of a recap of what we did last week. But having pointed out that sun and moon stuff might not be that good, I thought it was really useful to go through what we can do about it.

[00:37:23] Okay, so now we’re moving on to something else that came up last week. And I made this point here which I want you to pay attention to. And I know you can’t read it, so it’s going to say the higher self never encourages belief.

[00:37:41] It favors congruency of thought. And interestingly enough, the word congruency, embrace congruency was the third step in the detox. So congruency of thought, that is big enough that we can see it.

[00:37:55] I haven’t made any slides about this. I just wanted to talk about it with you for a moment. If you would like to share that moment with me. Thank you. And thank you for joining me.

[00:38:04] Okay, guys, what does it mean? Congruency of thought?

[00:38:09] So let’s go back on a little bit to simpler things.

[00:38:14] We’ve been talking about sun gazing and moon gazing and moon bathing and moon worshipping and all of these things. But they’re all doing.

[00:38:22] Before we did any of those things, we had a thought.

[00:38:26] When I was asking in the previous slides about what is the belief that you actually believe here and how did you get that belief? Well, it always started with a thought.

[00:38:37] So as we become more spiritual, things actually become simpler.

[00:38:43] There’s a clue. If things are becoming more and more complicated in your spiritual journey, then you may be going down one of these dead ends or lots of dead ends.

[00:38:52] So bring it back.

[00:38:54] The goal of spirituality, I can phrase it in many different ways, and I often do, because the more flexible I am with defining it, the more likely the definitions will resonate with you. So I don’t want to tell you what it is, but I’ll offer up suggestions and you can see which ones sit with you. But you could talk about spirituality being the strength of your desire and love for God and desire to break down the sense of separation between you and God. And that’s why quite often people pursue it through meditation. Because in meditation, you’re letting go of self, letting go of self, becoming more loving, becoming stiller, becoming more neutral. Now, stillness, love, and neutrality are some of the qualities of God. So by embodying the qualities of God, it brings us in some way closer to. To God. So spirituality is that.

[00:39:46] So are our thoughts congruent with the direction we want to be going in.

[00:39:55] That’s what congruency of thought means.

[00:39:58] Now, that manifests out in the choices that we make.

[00:40:04] So, for example, as I was a growing young man, I listened to a lot of AC, dc, Guns N Roses, Iron Maiden, and these kinds of things. And there were songs, things in there that woke me up a little bit spiritually.

[00:40:19] And, you know, I’ve quoted this before, but Infinite Dreams by Iron Maiden, there’s got to be more to life than this. Or tell me, why do we exist? I’d like to think that when I’m done, I get a chance Another turn and to return again and again and again.

[00:40:33] Now, when I was a young man, that was like, whoa, this song’s talking about stuff I feel I know deep down.

[00:40:42] And this is pre Internet time, you know, for the millennials, this was before you could just Google anything. So to hear a song talking about concepts that you had a deep yearning for was quite profound.

[00:40:55] Now, that’s great. That helped me at that time, but I need to let go of that song because the energy of that band and the energy of their music isn’t as spiritual.

[00:41:06] So if I can’t let go of that because I’ve got an identity, like I like Iron Maiden or I like ac, and I know these are trivial examples, but basically my choice is not to let go of those things are not congruent with where I now am. So there’s not a congruency of thought. There’s not a congruency of choice. And it’s the same once you start to know, for example, that what you watch in terms of films affects your vibration. And if you watch an action film and people are getting killed, you are actually glorifying anger and death and gore.

[00:41:44] Now the brain and intellect can say, it’s just actors, no one died, it’s just a bit of fun, it’s just a bit of entertainment.

[00:41:52] But spiritually speaking, you’re still giving your thoughts and you’re still, if you’re being entertained, then you’re still emotionally reacting to negativity. So congruency of thought doesn’t mean Mark says we shouldn’t do this, Mark says we shouldn’t do that. And I was having this question, I was having this conversation with someone earlier today. I was asking them their opinion about the last thing that we’re going to cover today.

[00:42:22] And it’s interesting. And they said, well, but there’s a lot as I’ve become spiritual that are nos and can’t.

[00:42:30] And I thought interesting because there’s.

[00:42:32] To me, I’m not focused on that. My congruency of thought is I’m focused more and more on God and more and more on the truth.

[00:42:42] And if that means that there’s less and less choice, then I see that as an easier way.

[00:42:50] You know, the way is narrow.

[00:42:52] You may have heard that saying, it’s narrow because it’s easy.

[00:42:56] It’s because the more complexity of choice you have is probably because you’re not centered in the way, the spiritual way.

[00:43:06] When you have congruency of thought, it’s much easier to know what is right and wrong.

[00:43:13] This takes me closer to God, right. This moves me away from God. Wrong, simple.

[00:43:20] So I know I’ve kind of skirted around, but I want you to contemplate congruency of thought and how it’s manifested out in your choices.

[00:43:29] Because your higher self isn’t saying, I want you to believe this, I want you to believe that belief doesn’t really come into it spiritually. Belief is what gets you out of bed. It’s what gets you moving.

[00:43:42] But spirituality is about now.

[00:43:46] And the next choice you’re going to make is based on a choice fundamentally between two things.

[00:43:53] One will be what your spirit offers up as the right choice that will move you closer to God, and one that you’re personality offers up. And it will invariably not be the right choice. It will be one that will favor staying the same.

[00:44:10] Hedonism, desire seeking, feelings, not wanting to be challenged.

[00:44:20] All of these things. You’re having this all the time. Because stuff I’m going to say and stuff I have said has probably challenged you. And if it challenged you, especially if it challenged you and made you negative, that wasn’t the words I said that did that. It was the choice you made. Because if anything I said was actually truthful, your higher self would have been saying, you should listen if you rejected it.

[00:44:48] It’s not me that got rejected. It’s your higher self that got rejected.

[00:44:53] In favor of what? In favor of staying the same, keeping the identities that aren’t actually spiritual. Does that make sense? Hopefully it does.

[00:45:02] So congruency of thought is aligning at the highest level because thought comes before action. It comes before everything.

[00:45:10] Aligning at the highest level with the most spiritual God. Okay, so if you kind of anchor to that, then you can start to bring all your thoughts into alignment.

[00:45:25] Let’s be realistic. We’re going to slip, we’re going to fall, we’re going to make mistakes, be kind, forgive yourself, get back up, realign, reassess.

[00:45:37] But congruency of thought is a concept that will help you stay focused, and it’s a way of assessing.

[00:45:44] Hang on a sec. Are the thoughts I’m having congruent with my goal as a spiritual person, which is to be closer to God and going, you know, I won’t jump back. But what Isaiah was saying, you know, even if you pray lots, I will not hear you because you are unclean. Think about thoughts as clean and unclean. And I’m not talking religion here. I’m not talking Roman Catholic guilt. I’m not talking about sin. I’m talking about clean thoughts. Means that they’re aligned with God. Unclean thoughts. So thoughts about hate, pride, vengeance, lust, desire, greed. Okay, unclean. And then all the good ones, like love, compassion, forgiveness, or gratitude, clean. So you can think of it like that as well. So what God is saying is that if you come before me clean, in other words, with congruency of spiritual thought, you’re welcome. But I cannot see you if you are unclean because there’s no light there. So think about each thought being.

[00:46:51] Does it muddy the. You know, does it dirty the landscape or does it clean?

[00:46:56] Is it light or dark?

[00:46:59] So it’s a concept, and we’ll leave it at that so that it’s vague enough that you can interpret it how you want. Okay?

[00:47:08] But I wanted to highlight it because it was a comment I made that just didn’t get enough air time in the last episode. So now it’s on your radar.

[00:47:17] And now we can talk about courage. And whenever you. If you search for courage, you get pictures of lions.

[00:47:23] Interesting fact. I used to be a trustee of a national charity to protect lions.

[00:47:30] And this may be proved to be an unpopular comment, but I will always speak the truth. As I started to understand the energies of different animals, then I could no longer being congruent of thought, also be a trustee of a charity that protects lions.

[00:47:52] Now, that’s no judgment on the people. I like the people and the passion that they had for their work.

[00:47:58] But I couldn’t put my name to something to do with these animals once I looked into the energy of those animals. And that’s a good example of congruency of thought. Because that, that knowledge, that thought then gave me a choice. Do I carry on doing this or do I stop doing this? Stopping it was the right thing to do, and therefore I was being congruent in my choices.

[00:48:22] So we talk about lions, but that’s. This picture here is probably the more appropriate one when it comes to courage. Okay. And it’s the Cowardly lion from the wizard of Oz. Okay, so this is all prompted by this question, which is on the screen. I know is difficult for you to read, but allow me to read it out. So, anon asks, one of the soul qualities is courage. Now, they’re quoting some stuff that I’ve said in the past.

[00:48:49] And then they go on to say, with the others, it seems growth, as in growth of the soul, comes through making good choices in adversity, which can provide an opportunity. And I think what they meant is an opportunity for growth.

[00:49:02] So one of the soul qualities is courage. With the others, it seems growth comes through making good choices in adversity, which can provide an opportunity. And I’ve underlined the word good, but it’s hard for you to see that.

[00:49:16] So then they go on, can we grow in courage without initial fear or apprehension?

[00:49:23] Next they say, can we take the opportunity to exercise courage only after we have come out of fear?

[00:49:29] Ego. And quite. In a lot of the previous episodes, I’ve gone on to explain that the seat of fear is ego. So to have fear, you have to be in ego because it’s fear of what would happen to little self. The higher self doesn’t have fear.

[00:49:46] So it’s always little self focus that produces ego.

[00:49:50] Okay, and then. And then there’s a nice closing at the bottom. So these questions come out of a discussion and some help forming the wording. So I’m assuming that they had a chat with someone else.

[00:50:02] And so thank you to those involved, and I thank them all, whoever you are.

[00:50:08] Love to everyone watching, listening and presenting, which I think is very nice. So thank you. Anon.

[00:50:13] Now, I’ve done my usual, which is I’ve kind of gone through their questions and I’ve pulled out the kind of core of the questions here. So the first thing is they’ve implied a question which is, is courage different from the other soul qualities?

[00:50:32] And then their question I’ve rephrased as, do the other soul qualities grow through making good choices in adversity?

[00:50:40] Okay, and then we go on. So there’s a third question, which they have written, which is, can we grow in courage without initial fear and apprehension? And the fourth question, as they said, which is, can we take the opportunity to exercise courage only after we have come out of fear and ego?

[00:50:55] So I just wanted to remind us something from episode 72. So this is us, and we’ve got good going up and bad going down. And that’s on a scale of vibration on the vertical axis. And then over time, we make choices that raise us up in vibration is what this squiggly line is showing us. Now, when you make a right choice, then your vibration goes up, and when you make a wrong choice, your vibration goes down. Okay, so I’m just reminding us what we covered in episode 72.

[00:51:27] Now, this gives us a framework for understanding the wording because the choices are right or wrong. And I use those words deliberately earlier when I said right moves you closer to God and wrong moves you further away from God.

[00:51:42] And the outcome is good, as in your vibration raises or the outcome is bad, as in your vibration drops. So in the original question, they said by making good choices. But really, we’re talking about courage here. So really, I think what they meant is right choices.

[00:52:04] And when we talk about courage, there’s a picture of a guy leaping across a big drop.

[00:52:11] Now, I thought before we dive into courage, we should really define what courage is, at least from a spiritual point of view. So courage, when you put truth before yourself, that’s what it says along here.

[00:52:26] This is my definition. And this isn’t just mate pulled out of thin air. This is from the stillness.

[00:52:32] So courage is when you put truth before yourself.

[00:52:36] Why?

[00:52:37] You’ve heard me say many times, to seek the truth is to seek God.

[00:52:41] So I’m not saying so. Truth is an aspect of God. You can’t say truth is God, but it’s godly.

[00:52:51] So when you put truth before yourself means also to when you put God before yourself.

[00:52:56] And then another definition is when you do what is right, knowing there is a cost to self.

[00:53:03] Now, you can do what is right when there’s no jeopardy. You can do what is right when it’s easy to do what is right.

[00:53:13] But when you do what is right, even though it’s going to potentially cost you, and I don’t mean money, although it might be, but it could be cost your reputation, it could be cost you your friendships, it could be cost you that your family won’t understand. It could be in many different ways. It could be that you do something that means that you will become a pariah, that people will reject you, that you will lose friends, family, whatever. It could be that to pursue spirituality will go against your partner. They want to hold you back, they don’t want you to grow and change. But what is right? Is it what they need or want, or is it what is right?

[00:53:58] So courage is when you do what is right, knowing there is a cost to self. And these words I pulled from the stillness and I checked thoroughly.

[00:54:10] So it’s not when it’s a cost to you, it’s when it’s a cost to self.

[00:54:15] Because the self, the lower self, is the vehicle of experience.

[00:54:20] It’s not going to cost your higher self anything to do what is right. Your higher self will benefit from you doing what is right. But it is you in this incarnation that may have to pay the cost. And so I’m talking from personal experience here as well. So when I started openly talking about God and Jesus, I knew that that was going to cost me. It was going to cost me friends. And it did. It was going to cost me reputation.

[00:54:44] I’ve opened myself up to ridicule, to hatred, to troll, and you know, the. These kind of people that are very negative and they’re very predictable. So, you know, every time I put something out there, we.

[00:54:57] I’m not surprised when the return is negative.

[00:55:03] But that is the cost that I’m willing to do because it is more important to do what is right now.

[00:55:11] So courage is doing what is right when you know that there is a cost to self. Okay? And the other definition, when you put truth before yourself.

[00:55:21] So just have a think about times where maybe you didn’t speak up the truth or you just stayed silent when you could have spoken. And it’s not, by the way, it’s not always about speaking. It might just be that the right thing to do was to be quiet. It might be that the right thing to do was not react.

[00:55:40] You know, I’m not saying it’s always about speaking up for truth or speaking out. It could just be the complete opposite. It’s what is right in that moment.

[00:55:51] And again, if we were to go back to that picture, then what is right is whatever the choice is that moves your vibration upwards and therefore has a good outcome.

[00:56:02] Okay? So taking that into account, if the choice is one of courage, to do what is right will be good, and to do what is wrong will be I’m looking in the mirror bad.

[00:56:16] So we’ve got this picture of a guy jumping across a chasm. And that is one of the pictures that comes up when you search for courage.

[00:56:26] That is not courage.

[00:56:29] It might be bravery.

[00:56:31] It might be stupidity, bravado, ego, adrenaline seeking. It could be a lot of things. But what it isn’t is courage. And it’s quite interesting because when I looked into this, no human, no good spiritual person has ever been guided by their higher self to put themselves in unnecessary danger. In fact, if that was you and you said, I will jump across that gap, and by the way, I’m ex mountaineer. Well, I say X, I still love going up the mountains. Ex rock climber. I broke too many fingers in an accident. So I can’t. My hands can’t tolerate climbing anymore. But also my higher self never wanted me to go climbing.

[00:57:18] Never.

[00:57:19] Are you guided to put yourself in unnecessary danger?

[00:57:24] That’s never coming from higher self. That’s only ever coming from either misguided, by forces that want to see you harm yourself, or from ego. Now it’s different. If there was a child in jeopardy and I had to climb up to get to them, to save them, that might be the right thing to do. But I’m talking about for no good reason, putting yourself in a dangerous situation such as BASE jumping, parachuting, rock climbing. A lot of the things. I’m not saying I did parachuting or BASE jumping, but rock climbing and things like that, I did a lot of. And it was never spiritual wisdom that was guiding it. It was only ever lower desires and identities and things like that.

[00:58:05] So this person jumping across the ravine that you can just see there is not demonstrating courage in any way, shape or form. Let me give you an example of real courage.

[00:58:16] So that’s Jesus carrying a cross to his crucifixion, which he knew was coming. He knew it was coming years before it happened.

[00:58:24] He had the courage to see it through, even though he could have avoided it. Because he put truth before self and he did what was Right. Knowing that there was a cost to self, that that is courage.

[00:58:39] Jumping across a ravine is stupidity, bravado, ego, pride, showing off many things, but it is in courage. Okay, so we’re talking about courage.

[00:58:50] So let’s get to the question then. So I’ve changed the bit up here to say through making the right choices in adversity.

[00:59:00] And I’m going to answer that question first.

[00:59:03] So, in fact, I’ve broken that question into two parts here. So the implied question is, is courage different? No, it’s exactly the same as all of the other soul qualities. And do the other soul qualities grow through making. And I’ve crossed out good and replaced it with the right.

[00:59:18] So through making the right choices in adversity. Yeah, all choices, in fact, irrespective of adversity.

[00:59:28] It’s normally in adversity that you grow, because doing the right thing or making the right choice when it’s easy and obvious is easy, and therefore there’s no investment.

[00:59:43] Making the right choice in difficult situations isn’t easy. Therefore you’ve had to flex the metaphoric muscles of free will and choice. And therefore the reward is more growth.

[00:59:57] And it’s exactly the same for courage.

[01:00:00] Which leads on to the third question. Can we grow in courage without initial fear or apprehension?

[01:00:06] So that’s misunderstanding courage.

[01:00:09] There is nothing to do with fear or apprehension in courage.

[01:00:15] Remember, courage is putting truth before self.

[01:00:19] It isn’t overcoming fear. Fear comes from ego. Ego is putting self first.

[01:00:29] So fear comes from putting self first.

[01:00:32] Courage comes from putting truth, ergo, God first.

[01:00:40] So can we go grow in courage without initial fear? Absolutely. If you change that question to say, can we grow in courage with initial fear or apprehension?

[01:00:51] Absolutely not.

[01:00:52] If there is fear and apprehension, then there is no courage.

[01:00:56] There is no growth. Why? Because if there’s fear and apprehension, you are already sitting in ego.

[01:01:03] And there can be no growth from ego. There can only be growth when you listen to your spirit, not when you listen to your ego.

[01:01:10] So the fourth question. Can we take the opportunity to exercise courage only after we have come out of fear and ego?

[01:01:17] No, because once you have come out of fear and ego, the moment has passed.

[01:01:24] The choices are always in the moment. They’re not an intellectual unfolding. They’re not.

[01:01:31] What would be the right thing to do here?

[01:01:35] I know, I know. We talk about what would Jesus do? What would Jesus do is a good way of orientating to attain what we were referring to earlier about congruency of thought.

[01:01:47] But in the moment, when you are being guided by your Higher self, you’re given the guidance there and then, and the choice is made there and then. Because thought stuff happens a lot quicker than you understand. By the time you’re having the internal dialogue about the thoughts, the choice has already been made.

[01:02:05] So if you’ve gone into ego and fear in a situation, then you’re not receptive to your higher self, you’re receptive to ego.

[01:02:16] And therefore there can be no growth. What can happen is later you go, yeah, I reacted with fear. That wasn’t very good.

[01:02:24] And you can reflect on it and you say, what should I have done? Well, the right thing to do would have been to do this.

[01:02:31] And then retrospectively you can say, well, maybe I can make amends by doing the right thing now.

[01:02:37] And there would be some growth in that, because you’re making a conscious choice to do the right thing belatedly. But the actual original opportunity for growth has been and gone. And there is no coming out of it and intellectualizing and reflecting and then making up for lost time. The choices are already made in the moment.

[01:02:57] It comes down to state. If you’re in a state of fear, you cannot be receptive to your higher self. If you’re in a state of neutrality, love coming from the heart, not the head, then in the moment you can be courageous because you’re given what the right thing is. And it would require courage, which would simply mean that you’re putting truth first, you’re putting God first, you are doing the right thing. And doing the right thing means listening to your spirit and making the right choice. And the right choice will lead to the right action.

[01:03:27] So it’s not that you have to come out of fear. If you’re in fear, there’s the clue you’re in ego.

[01:03:35] So quite useful, I think, to talk these things through and break them down a little bit. But I always want to keep it light hearted, as in it always comes back to coming from the heart.

[01:03:47] And I said at the end that the only way you can make the right choice really is by coming more from state and not being in ego. And that comes from the heart, which leads nicely. Segues nicely on to the last question for the day.

[01:04:04] Rachel asks, I have heard you mention it is important to have a sense of humor. And also there is a lightness to a spiritual person. I think this might have been in one of the episodes.

[01:04:15] Just have a look in the chat, see if anyone’s helping me out with anything.

[01:04:19] Okay. I will come to the questions in the chat at the end because there’s Some good questions in there.

[01:04:26] Okay.

[01:04:27] So I’ve heard you mention it’s important to have a sense of humor. And also there is a likeness to a spiritual person. I had assumed a sense of humor came from personality stroke, little self and ego.

[01:04:38] I assumed likeness is different and comes from faith and. Or a person’s heart.

[01:04:44] A person’s sense of humor can vary so much between individuals. Please can you give a spiritual perspective of what the sense of humor actually is?

[01:04:55] So if you’ve watched the show, you know that quite often I’ll restructure questions. And there is a. There is a spiritual reason for this. I had a long chat with a bunch of people who are very, very spiritual, and we kind of came to this kind of understanding and agreement that the more we can understand the question we’re asking, the more meaningful the answer.

[01:05:13] In other words, the more clarity of question, the more value of answer. Okay. And so I restructured it to make. Have more clarity. So the first thing I’ve done is I’ve grouped all the statements that Rachel made into one place because that sets the framing. So the reframing it this way. Then I’ve heard you mention it’s important to have a sense of humor. And also there is a likeness to a spiritual person.

[01:05:42] A person’s sense of humor can vary so much between individuals. So that’s all the statements that were made then the questions, and these are the same words but just slightly tweaked so that it’s more specifically a question that can be addressed. So question, does a sense of humor come from personality, little self and ego?

[01:06:00] So the answer to this is yes, it can.

[01:06:05] But it can also come from the more awake, present part of you which isn’t paying attention to ego still comes from lower self. But the lower self isn’t just ego. Ego is the negative side, if you like, of lower self.

[01:06:20] Is lightness different? Yes, lightness is different.

[01:06:27] Does lightness come from faith and. Or a person’s heart?

[01:06:32] Interesting question.

[01:06:35] No is the answer.

[01:06:37] So likeness does not come from faith and. Or a person’s heart, but it might be helped by being in the heart and having faith. And I did a really. There’s a really lovely. From a few years back video in a different podcast series as well that I’ll link to all about faith from a spiritual perspective. Because when we use the word faith, quite often that might evoke religious connotations. And remember, religion is believe. You know, believe what you want.

[01:07:05] It’s a codified system of beliefs. But spirituality is from the heart Present experiential stuff. So we’re talking about experiential faith rather than a belief based faith.

[01:07:18] So does lightness come from faith then or a person’s heart? Not really.

[01:07:23] So please, can you give a spiritual perspective of what a sense of humor actually is? So let me answer what lightness is?

[01:07:32] Lightness as I’ve referred to it, and basically what I’ve said is something along the lines of you really need to spend a sense of humor if you’re going to be spiritual and it’s better to be light hearted. Lightness is what the outward kind of the way your personality will be transformed the more you sit in spiritual state.

[01:07:55] So I’m talking to you, look, and at the start of this episode, you know, you didn’t see the chaos just before, like literally 20 minutes before the I was supposed to go live. I’m rearranging cameras and software is failing and I’m having to make rapid decisions.

[01:08:10] And that’s not great for spiritual state.

[01:08:13] But I stayed calm.

[01:08:15] I knew it wasn’t the end of the world.

[01:08:17] I literally had a bit of a laugh because it’s like, oh, well, typical.

[01:08:22] But I didn’t go into negativity, I stayed light. Why? Because I did my best, despite the chaos, to maintain state.

[01:08:32] Okay? So I could cope and not get dragged down into panic, negativity, why is this happening to me? Anger, that kind of stuff.

[01:08:44] So lightness comes from state.

[01:08:47] State in simple terms is how neutral are you, how present are you, how unattached are you, how centered in love and acceptance are you versus centered in expectation and judgment. So expectation and judgment would have really tripped me up when everything was going wrong because it would have gone against my expectations and I would have judged everything. And that only ever leads to negativity.

[01:09:13] So lightness of character comes from state.

[01:09:18] And yeah, I’ve had a lot of experience of doing very long sessions of 8, 10, 12 hours even of spiritual work where it’s exhausting and you have to be able to just be light hearted about it. And one of the, one of the ways that that translates is it might be serious but don’t take it seriously.

[01:09:45] Now sense of humor is similar. If you are centered in the heart.

[01:09:52] Your sense of humour will be about the situations, the ability to laugh about the situations and make light not disrespectful but just oh well.

[01:10:03] And it comes from perspective as well. So the more spiritual are, the more you have knowing rather than belief. So for example, I can sit here and I can’t convince you of anything I’m about to say. But I know it to be true. I know that death is not the end. I know that I’ve had many lives, lifetimes before.

[01:10:20] I know a lot about what waits for me when I physically die. I’m not worried about it at all. Kind of looking forward to it.

[01:10:28] That takes a lot of pressure off.

[01:10:30] That allows me not to take my life too seriously. As in my lower self. I value it immensely and I value the time I have as a way to do spiritual work and to hopefully help other people to be more spiritual. But in terms of the pressures that even I in the past put upon my life for success and all of these worldly things, I see the cosmic joke. I get the big picture. And so there’s an ability to laugh at life without being dismissive or negative.

[01:11:05] If I was an ego, the humor would come out in a different way.

[01:11:09] So when someone centered an ego, their humour is normally at the cost of themselves or others.

[01:11:18] So it might be self deprecating humor as a form of defense against insecurities, or it might be putting other people down because of a sense of superiority.

[01:11:30] So someone whose humor is at the cost of another person ridiculing someone or teasing them or whatever. And we all do this by the way. So look, it’s never black and white, it’s shades, 50 shades of grey. A whole nother pointless film and book. But anyway, I’m digressing, I’m tired as well.

[01:11:53] But the point is if they’re coming from ego, it will be there’ll be a negative tinge to the humor. Someone it’s at someone’s expense or it’s just negative or it’s just not every, you know, there’s a victim in it. Someone is being victimized by that humor.

[01:12:13] When it’s coming from the heart and from state, then it’s laughing at the illusion of life.

[01:12:21] It’s laughing with others at the absurdness of a situation.

[01:12:27] It’s not taking oneself too seriously. So when I was saying you need a sense of humor, that’s what I was referring to is lighten up.

[01:12:36] As in remember the bigger picture, you’re not in control anyway.

[01:12:42] So you know, be humble. Because the ability to laugh at oneself also comes from humility. And that’s one kind of the cornerstone of the six virtues. And hu. Without humility there is no spiritual growth.

[01:12:55] So this is what I was kind of saying. So when I made that comment, it wasn’t like a set in stone, absolute. I was more just observing that as I’ve personally become more spiritual. I found that I can laugh things off more that I don’t get drawn into the heaviness of situations. And I’m talking of, you know, I’ve had to go through, as I’m sure you have and others, quite serious situations. And as far as the worst things that can happen in life in terms of death and injury and stuff and loss and things. And part of what’s kind of helped is the bigger picture and the perspective that gives from spiritual, spiritually knowing allows a sense of humor. Now someone in ego would still be able to laugh at things like death, but it would be almost like a very black humor. That’s where the phrase black humor comes from.

[01:13:50] It’s inappropriate humor. In other words, if the humor, that’s another nice way of understanding it. If we take the virtues humility, gratitude, respect, non judgment, compassion, unconditional love, for example. So if you took it respect. If the humor is disrespectful to anything or anyone, including even God, then it’s coming from ego. If there’s no disrespect in the humor, but it’s just laughing at the ludicrousness of a situation or the pathos of a situation.

[01:14:26] So you can look at it through the filter of the six virtues.

[01:14:29] Is there disrespect? Ego, is there lack of humility?

[01:14:34] Ego, is it lacking compassion?

[01:14:37] Ego, is it compassionate humor, is it respectful humor? Is it.

[01:14:42] Then it’s coming from a higher place.

[01:14:45] So I guess if I was to refine what was said, it’s not that you need humor, it’s just that allow that humor can come from being in a higher place or a more spiritual place. A different kind of humor and being light hearted is state.

[01:15:01] So the more you are in state, the less the phrase I like to use is in the world but not touched by it.

[01:15:10] Which means that it could all be going wrong, horribly wrong around you. But you’re just kind of like it’s okay, it is what it is, you know, which is kind of where I was writing the run up to this tonight’s show.

[01:15:25] So the black screen means that at the end of the slide. So I’m just going to jump into the chat because I saw some interesting stuff coming up. If I make that ridiculously big, then you might be able to see it.

[01:15:41] So just running through Ra sun deity. Lady Gaga has a song that actually starts with singing Ra blah blah blah blah. I feel like one one sings long then. Yeah, so let’s just take that.

[01:15:58] A lot of Lyrics and film references are actually references to false gods. And for example, everyone’s favorite caped hero, Superman, his name is Kal El.

[01:16:18] And in Hebrew it roughly translates.

[01:16:21] Let me get this right.

[01:16:23] L means. Is loosely means God. And Karl means light.

[01:16:29] So it’s.

[01:16:31] And in the film it says he is Karl, the son of El.

[01:16:38] Is that line in one of the films. And it means he is the light created by God or son of God. And it’s not a reference to Jesus, it’s a reference to everyone’s favorite bringer of light, the one that came down.

[01:17:00] Superman flies down to earth or crashes to earth.

[01:17:04] He is Lucifer. So Superman, Karl, El in Hebrew means the bringer of light or the one that God created that brings the light, which means he is Lucifer. So Superman is the embodiment of Lucifer. And I’ve touched on this before, that most of the superheroes remember Hollywood is a CIA. This is proven by the way, so you can do your own research. But Hollywood is run by the CIA. It’s a psyops.

[01:17:30] And the CIA is run by secret societies.

[01:17:33] So most of the Marvel characters that we all root for and cheer are actually the.

[01:17:42] The beings and characters of myth that are against God and against humanity. So the heroes that we all celebrate, Superman, etc, are actually the bad guys.

[01:17:55] And quite often what’s depicted is the bad guys are actually the good guys.

[01:18:01] So Superman, bad guy, Lucifer. So yeah, Lady Gaga. I wouldn’t surprise me.

[01:18:08] A lot of these acts, a lot of these artists actually have deliberately. They do rituals and stuff on stage.

[01:18:16] I think a famous one is that one that’s just getting married or engaged. I can’t remember her name.

[01:18:24] I’m proud of the fact. Well, not proud, but I’m pleased. I can’t remember her name because I’m not really a fan of any of this stuff, but she’s big.

[01:18:34] She’s dating an American footballer and there’s a lot of suggestion that she’s actually a high priestess of Satan.

[01:18:41] And you can Google that if you’re interested. Right, this is interesting. Millie. Millie 2772. This is interesting because those women worshiping the moon think that it is helpful with their feminine side health mental cycles. Yeah, absolutely. So there’s the reason why it’s in our zeitgeist about the moon and.

[01:19:00] And female cycles and female energy is because of who rules the moon and that being who’s real. You know, look, if you’ve realized and attained enlightenment and there’s nowhere for anything to hide because you are the state that contains Everything. And that includes all of the dimensions and beyond. And so all of these beings on higher dimensions can’t really hide from you. So eventually you encounter them and you get to find out what they’re really up to. If you can put in the time and get past the layers of deception. And for example, the one that rules the moon absolutely hates humanity. I’ll tell you why.

[01:19:39] It’s all to do with jealousy. Because humans experience love, and there is no greater love than the love a human woman has for her newborn child.

[01:19:50] Okay?

[01:19:51] And when they saw the love that humans had for their children, it evokes so much hatred in this particular being who is feminine, that she set up what she could to punish women that they would suffer each month, and that they would suffer pain of childbirth, and they would. And that they would have to go through menopause.

[01:20:13] It’s been done. And so the women worshiping the moon to help with these things don’t realize they’re worshipping the thing that actually makes it worse.

[01:20:26] But the interesting thing is, if you worship the moon, then you have given yourself over to this being.

[01:20:31] And if you keep going, you become more and more negative, and this being will actually support you. So this being might actually allow you to be alleviated from the symptoms as a reward for your giving your soul and your spirit to this being.

[01:20:46] You know, it’s quite serious stuff when you think about it. But, yeah, it’s done innocently. So I’m not saying this to scare people, and I’m not saying this to criticize. I’m saying this to wake them up, because there is stump, you know, you can do something about it.

[01:21:01] If this is you, then, you know, start to actually become spiritual, which is putting God first and not worshipping. Something that we make a lot of assumptions about but don’t really understand down here.

[01:21:15] So a question from Toshi. Is there anything good or positive about the sun and the moon?

[01:21:23] Without them, we wouldn’t survive down here. Well, without the sun, we wouldn’t survive down here. The moon is another thing altogether. Can’t say that there’s anything really positive about the moon.

[01:21:32] It gets more complicated because the sun has changed over time.

[01:21:37] And if you start wanting to go deep into the rabbit hole, you could look at second suns and things like this.

[01:21:44] But fundamentally, at this time, we’re down here and the sun was necessary, so it does in some way contribute towards our survival. But surviving, yes. Thriving, no. The sun has nothing to do with us. Thriving as human beings. Thriving as human beings, you could say, is Turning your attention to the light within, which is your spirit, as opposed to the.

[01:22:09] The false light without which is the sun.

[01:22:13] So, yeah, we can’t do without the sun, but that doesn’t mean it’s good. That’s like saying, you know, prisoners in a prison can’t do without the food that they’re given. Doesn’t mean it’s good food. It just means they need it. So hopefully that answers that question.

[01:22:32] I don’t know who that is, but welcome to the channel. Lilith is also on the tree of death in Kabbalah, representing the first full lust. Yep.

[01:22:44] So Lilith is actually far older than people by saying, I doubt Lilith controls the moon.

[01:22:50] Lilith is far older and more entwined in the characters than people understand.

[01:22:58] That’s all I’ll say for now. But the Lilith is a power player.

[01:23:03] But how Lilith is represented in the early Bible and stuff as Adam’s first wife and stuff is.

[01:23:10] I don’t know if it’s misdirection or just missing misunderstanding, but Lilith is a lot more powerful and her history is a lot more tightly entwined with human history than people would necessarily understand.

[01:23:27] Again, I’m talking from what it’s possible to understand and know and perceive on higher dimensions versus what we can know down here. And I’m not saying by any means that I have all the answers, but it would be unwise to underestimate Lilith. And her involvement is in the moon is kind of.

[01:23:46] There’s other places on the earth that she’s got connections to, but she has a big stake in it.

[01:23:53] The actual power player behind it allowed her. It’s kind of like a favor that Lilith has a stake in it, if that makes sense. So the one that’s kind of doing the bad work is Lilith. But there’s something much better, much worse. Sorry.

[01:24:12] And then it happened to me yesterday. I didn’t stand up for truth out of fear. Yeah.

[01:24:18] So that’s me making a comment. Absolutely. So that’s talking about courage is the. Is standing for truth? No, courage is printing truth first.

[01:24:27] So that doesn’t mean stick your neck out and have your head cut off for the first opportunity. There is also wisdom is a soul quality.

[01:24:34] So it may have been wise to keep quiet in that situation. But what you’re recognizing is that there was fear involved. So if you had been more in state, there wouldn’t have been fear. Then there’d be more engagement, which means more ability to be guided, which means that wisdom may have also been on the table, which means that it might have been the right thing not to say anything, but you wouldn’t have been doing it from the seat of fear, which is ego. You would have been doing it from the seat of the soul and the spirit, higher self, the heart.

[01:25:07] So it’s not that you didn’t speak the truth that is the issue, it’s that there was fear. But it’s really good to spot it and, and therefore now you’re a bit wiser to it. And Taylor Swift. Yeah, that’s who I was trying to remember. Swifty Panther 9 is saying, yes, this is worse than the pumpkins. That’s a reference to Halloween, which is coming soon. So I urge you, if you haven’t seen the Halloween episode I did last year, I’m not going to do one this year because I said everything that really needs to be understood in that episode. But I would definitely check it out. Especially if you’ve got children or you think it’s fun to dress up and go trick or treating, please watch that episode. It’s like a public service announcement for truth and light and goodness. A time when it’s one of the most satanic times of the year.

[01:25:58] So talking about beliefs, whatever you believe about Halloween, please be open enough, humble enough, curious enough to check that episode out and then at least you can make more of a free will choice about what you do at Halloween.

[01:26:14] And that’s the. I don’t know what that two means. What does that two mean? Oh, don’t know.

[01:26:19] There we go. I clicked it and nothing happened. So that looks like the end of the, the live chat. And I thank everyone for getting involved and it’s nice to see some new, new names in there as well.

[01:26:33] Yeah, it’s fair enough to say. I, I doubt Lilith controls the moon.

[01:26:39] I’m just talking from my experience, she uses the moon would be a more accurate thing. And when people worship the moon, when people worship the feminine, that’s who they’re worshiping. When it, when it comes to the moon stuff. Is Lilith up there? There are yin and yang, male and female as well, but most of the power players tend to be yang. But Lilith is a very interesting and very dangerous exception to that. That’s all I will say because I’m not paying her any respect whatsoever.

[01:27:12] Very, very dodgy character. We could talk about that more if anyone’s interested. But everything I talk about, what I want to do is always try and put, not here to just.

[01:27:23] It’s very interesting position.

[01:27:25] Do we deny that there is darkness and problems?

[01:27:30] Because to do so isn’t truth and there’s that old saying, the greatest trick that the devil ever pulled or the biggest deception was to convince the world he didn’t exist.

[01:27:42] Okay, now I say devil, you could refer. You think that that’s just metaphorical, literal.

[01:27:50] What I’m getting at is.

[01:27:54] And when I. By the way, when I years back, I would agree I was in the camp of, everything up there is good and positive. There’s no such thing as negativity up there. Everything’s love and light. You know, happy, clappy.

[01:28:07] And I had the absolute spiritual hell kicked out of me when I started to spend a lot of time up there. First of all, I was deceived a lot. And then when I started seeing through the deception, it’s like, right, gloves are off. So I had to realize, no, not everything’s good. It’s just like down here, you know, as above, so below us, below, so above.

[01:28:29] So that’s why the path is very narrow. It’s God, it’s Jesus, that’s it. Okay?

[01:28:38] Worship anything else and you’re going in the wrong direction.

[01:28:43] So the. I guess what I’m saying is put truth first, not self. So if you can’t accept that there is anything other than light, you’re denying the truth.

[01:28:58] Now, it’s different if you haven’t yet realized it. But if you’re just kind of going, I don’t want to hear that. That’s not what I’m interested in.

[01:29:06] From a place of neutrality, which is state, spiritual state means that you can be neutral and observe without being affected.

[01:29:17] If. And so from a place of neutrality, I’ve been witness to. To the truth of yin and yang, good and bad, dark and light, evil and. And. Or, you know, from a place of neutrality.

[01:29:32] I don’t celebrate the negative.

[01:29:35] I’m not interested in it from a congruency point of view. I cut negativity out of my films that I watch. The TV that I watch basically means I don’t watch much TV anymore. The music that I listen to basically are very restricted in. Compared to what I used to listen to. But by choice, even the food I eat, the spiritual practices I do, I’ve cut out most of when I realized the truth of what most of them are through experience and through neutrality.

[01:30:02] So you can’t have free will without the. The kind of neutral balance of accepting the truth of how things are. And you can’t demonstrate wisdom if you cannot accept truth.

[01:30:21] So to be spiritual means to be neutral.

[01:30:26] It doesn’t mean that I’m asking anyone to glorify the negative side. There’s a helicopter flying over. It simply means that we cannot deny the truth.

[01:30:36] And therefore, by being. By going, hang on a sec, there is yin and Yang, then you can place yourself in the middle and have a choice, do I want to focus on yin or do I want to focus on Yang? So my job isn’t to say, give the negative stuff lots of attention. It’s simply to say there is negative stuff and we should talk about it and we should demystify it. Because the power that it holds is generally illusory, doesn’t have real power. It has fear.

[01:31:04] So if I can demonstrate to you that I can talk about Lilith and Satan and the devil and all these characters that are just beings on higher dimensions that are trying to protect that there’s something more.

[01:31:17] And I’m demonstrating they’re nothing.

[01:31:20] They’re pathetic.

[01:31:22] The power they have is the fear that we have for them because they feed on our fear. So by defusing that and demystifying it and kind of it, you know, we start, ironically, we started with.

[01:31:37] Where is it? We started with this.

[01:31:40] Let’s bring this up.

[01:31:42] We started with the wizard voz. What’s the ending of that film?

[01:31:46] This fantastical wizard. They pulled back the curtain and it was just a weak old man.

[01:31:54] What I’m alluding to here is that when you pull back the veils of deception and see the truth, then Satan, the Devil, Beelzebub, Lucifer, and all of these characters may well be real, but they’re not what we’ve been led to believe.

[01:32:13] Their power is our fear. And when we shed our fear and stand firm in truth, putting God and Jesus first, then these things don’t really have that much power.

[01:32:27] But it would be foolish to underestimate them.

[01:32:33] They’ve been doing this for a very, very, very long time. And they’ve got the high ground in terms of they are on higher dimensions. So you are behind the veils of deception. They are not.

[01:32:45] So we talk about it, to demystify it, to shed the light of truth. That’s what that word is.

[01:32:54] Literally on me. Literally, the light of truth is coming, coming at me. So to shed the light of truth into the darkness, to unveil it, to pull back the curtain, to set us free.

[01:33:08] And talking of setting us free, it’s whatever time it is, it’s 10:38 on a Thursday evening. I think this is a good point to stop. I’m really grateful to all of you for your patience at the start as I had to get things set up have real courage.

[01:33:25] Not even a lion have real courage. Whatever that picture is, there it is.

[01:33:31] Remember that guy, Jesus? There’s the truth.

[01:33:35] And again, I’m not talking about religion. I’m talking about from the heart.

[01:33:40] God bless you. I’ll see you next week. The podcast will be out in a few days and for those that want to then we have a really nice chilled out show on a Sunday morning.

[01:33:49] Join me at 7 o’ clock or thereabouts for time with books. In the meantime, God bless you.
