Have you ever wondered why people meditate? Read on and I’ll explain why I’ve removed the word “meditation” from our URL!
I started meditating when I was just 7 years old (that’s 40 years ago!) and I first started teaching others circa 1998. Since then I’ve done thousands of hours of meditation and learnt so much. However importantly I know there is far more to learn. In fact when I realised enlightenment I had a deep inner knowing that it was just the beginning of a life-time of discovering more. That’s good news for you if you’re a fellow seeker of truth, because everything I learn I share with you, to help you.
Firstly though, my own journey started with meditation and I’ve heard similar accounts from many people. Therefore when I got the calling to setup The Way Back I naturally put the word “Meditation” in the name. Pretty much all the lovely “spiritual” people around me at that time seemed to have the same idea. For us spirituality and meditation seemed to go hand in hand.
So if you’ve been following me for a while you’ll already know that our URL is was thewaybackmeditation.org. However I appreciate that if you’re new to this site though then what we’re discussing here is history. If you are new then “Hello and welcome!”. Whether you are new or returning though please do read on because what I’m going to share with you next might surprise you a little, or not. Either way, I invite you to find out.
So fast forwarding to about 2016 I started giving people access to advanced spiritual light and sound energy meditation. After a number of years my own understanding has grown, which led to the fundamental question of “What is spirituality?”.
Now you may be quite surprised to discover that it does not necessarily correlate with doing meditation, something it took me years to understand completely. I’ve embraced this deeper truth behind what it really means to be spiritual. This is why I’ve just updated the website URL and made a few changes to the website:
OLD: thewaybackmeditation.org
NEW: thewaybackgroup.org
With clarity comes teaching and so I’m happy to provide more information to help you understand the bigger picture. Am I saying that all meditation is a bad thing? No! However Am I saying that meditation alone does not necessarily make a person spiritual? Yes! So let’s explore this together because we’re all learning. Here’s some videos to help:
In this video from 5 weeks ago I discuss how meditation does not always help with spiritual awakening.
Was this helpful? There’s plenty more to find on this site and also please feel free to follow us on youtube.
It’s taken a lot of hard work to migrate the site to a new domain name. Therefore was it really worth it just to remove one word: “Meditation”? I’d say yes, for the following important reasons:
“So whether you’re looking for meditation, spiritual awakening or both now you know that we’re here to help. Importantly though I hope you’re starting to understand that there is a difference between them, if you didn’t already.
Mark
With love”
