The Way Back are a small not-for-profit group based in the UK and we do our best to be ethical, sustainable, responsible etc… Let’s be honest though, in this modern age these are claims that most companies make and for good reason. However, though a good idea, the fact we are ethical or sustainable doesn’t really explain to you why our books stand out from the crowd. The Way Back Group was founded in 2018 by a small team of spiritual teachers and meditators with the simple goal of making spirituality and down to earth guidance, support, and inspiration accessible to as many people as possible and importantly FREE! Since then we have produced lots of books, eBooks, podcasts, videos, online courses, and even documentaries. This work is totally funded by kind donations and the proceeds from our book sales. When you purchase an book from The Way Back Book Store then the profits also go to supporting the work of The Way Back – Thank you!
100% Human – No Artificial Intelligence
You’ve probably realised by now that many modern books are written, if not entirely, then in part using AI. Something we are very much against. The author Mark Zaretti, who is behind our books absolutely abhors AI and chooses not to use it, even for basic book research. The content of the books along with their artwork are all done by him, the good old way, at a keyboard and mouse. In fact the notes he makes are usually done with a fountain pen!
At The Way Back we agree with this and believe in the inherent value of each and every human being. Our books are read by real lovely and spiritually awake people, just like you. So it is good to know that they have been lovingly written and published by a real human using their wonderful spiritual insights and creativity.
Furthermore we refuse to actively use any AI tools in any part of our process, which means that all the website content, descriptions, artwork and so on has been human-made.

UK Based Printing
We are a UK based and we’re delighted to be able to print and ship our books throughout the UK. Unless you are abroad then our books are printed in the UK and shipped directly to you from the printers, which means they have a minimal shipping impact on the environment. In rare circumstances if the UK supplier is out of stock then we may source from the EU in order to prevent delays but this is very rare.
We also do our best to choose high quality and ethically sourced products which will last a long time, reducing waste. For example some of our products are made from organic cotton.
Breaking Free From Amazon
For many years our books were printed and distributed via Amazon but we now have our books under our own online store. This means that when you buy our books, you are NOT supporting a massive multinational corporation. Instead you are supporting us directly. The downside is that not being on amazon means fewer people will find out books. This is where you can help. Tell people about our books, send them a link, and share.
